YoYo Posted November 16, 2014 Author Posted November 16, 2014 YoYo, after translating, :-), your reviews were a delightful reading ! Oh, did You? Nice and Thank You .
MarcoRossolini Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 I bought one of their campaigns and whilst it appeared excellent, I think I ran into a bug where I simply couldn't get my AI companions to do anything, I had no idea what to do to say that my engine had started or whatever to get them to take off... They looked like an excellent product, but they just wouldn't work it seems...
LLv34_Flanker Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 S! There was a workaround to AI. You had to switch to autopilot briefly and then back to manual controls to make AI get on with it. A feature caused by the game, not the add-on.
Pringliano Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Heheh, makes sense :-) These Campaigns are going to be my Christmas gift for myself :-)
Guest deleted@1562 Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Definately wish those guys will make campaigns for IL2-BOS, too. Last time I tinkered with their campaigns and the TF-mods, it didn't work out well. Does the new addon work with the TF-mod out of the box?

Pringliano Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Thx Sokol1! Will be useful for me :-) Learning CloD at all Steam :-)

Pringliano Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Do you mean there are incompatibilities between this add-ons and the TF Mods?
VRPilot Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 nope, works just fine. I got the new campaign and works as it should
Pringliano Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 nope, works just fine. I got the new campaign and works as it should Thx! I'll get it soon too :-)
Jokili68 Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 I bought the Luftwaffe Addon too. In the former Addons I´ll start with running engine, now I have to start it by my self. Since the Team Fusion updates I can´t start the engine (Bf 109) manualy. How can I do it? Thanks for help
Sokol1 Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Take a look in TF Wiki: http://www.theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/wiki/doku.php?id=germanflightmanuals
Jokili68 Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Thanks Sokol, that is what I do. I put the magneto switch and the fuelcock up, than throttle to the half, at last I press "E" to start the engine. But nothing happend. I use the Team Fusion mods.
LBR=H_Ostermann Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Thanks Sokol, that is what I do. I put the magneto switch and the fuelcock up, than throttle to the half, at last I press "E" to start the engine. But nothing happend. I use the Team Fusion mods. HI You have to press "i" for engine ignition in Cliffs of Dover, "e" is only for BOS/ROF.
Sokol1 Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 (edited) In any case, look at Controls > Aircraft > Keys for "Toggle selected engine" (should by "Start selected engine"...), for default - as Osterman say - is "I", if want remap to "E" (I use Alt+E). BTW - In CloD that key only start the engine, don't stop then, for this use "Slow running cut off" (Hurri/Spit) or turn off fuel cock or magnetos (these are not need set before start - no practical effect). Edited November 20, 2014 by Sokol1
Jokili68 Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Thanks, I go try it out tomorrow. It´s long ago I´d played CloD with starting the engine on the ground. I use the Thrustmaster MFD and must configurate it first to CloD.
Pringliano Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 or magnetos (these are not need set before start - no practical effect). Oops! No? Didn't try this yet .... On all aircraft, you can start the engine without the mags at least in the 1st position?
Pringliano Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 oK, just tested it - it's fine and realistic after all... What happens is that when we press "I" the game system automatically moves the magnetos to the correct position, but if you force them off the engine will naturally quit :-)
Sokol1 Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Because this I say that in practical terms only worth set magnetos for turn OFF engines - or for make movies about "complex engine management" for YT.
Jokili68 Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 I press "I" but engine did´nt start. The older Desastersoft campagnes are starting with running engines. Cant start the engines manualy is the reason I cant fly online...
Sokol1 Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Jokili68 What plane you are trying start? You are with "Complex Engine Management" turned ON? "Temperature Effects" turned ON? Just press "I" only work with these OFF, if are ON is needed open fuel cock and set throttle ~10% first.
Jokili68 Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Bf 109 and Bf 110, I play with complex managment. I turn on the magnetos than I close the fuelcock (Kraftstoffhebel) than I use the fuelpump (Bf 109) ~3 times than I open the throttle nearly to the half and finaly I press "I" but nothing happend...
von_Greiff Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Bf 109 and Bf 110, I play with complex managment. I turn on the magnetos than I close the fuelcock (Kraftstoffhebel) than I use the fuelpump (Bf 109) ~3 times than I open the throttle nearly to the half and finaly I press "I" but nothing happend... ...close the fuelcock? ...open it!
Sokol1 Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 > Bf 109 and Bf 110, I play with complex managment. Tested now with TF 4.312 - cold starter 1 - Turn ON fuel cock - in Bf 109 lever up (in both in BF 110) 2- Leave throttle closed or open >10% * 3 - Press "I" 4 - Wait proper water and oil temperatures and go (don't forget open oil radiator) Same for Bf 110, but select first engine 1 - start, then 2 - start, then select all. BTW - Magnetos, fuel pump... are only "comestic" - forget then (unless for movies). CloD "Complex Engine Mangement" are not too complex (a bit "confused" perhaps). * this limit is loose, some planes start with 30% or more, but make plane shake and start move. 1
Jokili68 Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 cant start every thing. Is there a way to do the default Instaltion back?
Sokol1 Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 In STEAM right click on game shortcut > Properties > Files (tab) > VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME CACHE. This will replace MOD'ed files with ones of last MG patch (December, 2012). Just in case make a backup of Documents\1C Soft Club folder, here are placed your configs, campaigns progress. But, your problem is not MOD related, the TF patchs dont touch in how engines are started. Your engine initiate the start sequence and stop, or not start at all? Maybe the key for "Toggle Selected Engine" are unassigned, or changed.
Blooddawn1942 Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 (edited) cant start every thing. Is there a way to do the default Instaltion back?Once I had the problem, that the ignition command "I" was not in the setup menu. I don't know the reason why.So "I" wasn't working for me too. I had to manually add the Ignition command into the config ini. Edited December 9, 2014 by Blooddawn1942
A_S Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Let me get this right. No new map, no new planes...just a different storyboard and setup of units..and then for that money??? LOL, i should start selling my theaters in FalconBMS, which take over 12 month to create (just joking, will never happen).

LOL, i should start selling my theaters in FalconBMS, which take over 12 month to create (just joking, will never happen). You might think that this is a joke. But the desastersoft-addons are the best campaigns you can find for Cliffs. And as long as there are people willing to pay...? You can sell your stuff too for Falcon, I guess... if it is good enough...?
SharpeXB Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 (edited) Let me get this right. No new map, no new planes...just a different storyboard and setup of units..and then for that money??? It's an expansion for a game called "Cliffs of Dover" which is about the Battle of Britain. Why do you expect a new map? The Desastersoft products are the best thing about CoD. Very much worth the $ Edited December 10, 2014 by SharpeXB

It includes a custom campaign engine, that tracks your air and ground kills + hands out promotions and medals. Seamlessly integrated into the game.
jonny_bass Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 Hi all, I recently picked up a couple of Desastersoft's other add-ons, specifically for their integrated career modes...but I'm finding that unless you *successfully* complete a given mission, it won't let you move on to the next. Shot down without scoring a kill, but without dying? Want to move on? As far as I can tell, you can't - the only buttons I can see after a failed mission are REFLY or LEAVE CAMPAIGN. Hopefully I'm missing something really really obvious...if not, are there any workarounds that anyone knows of? Any help very much appreciated - I'm so close to finally(!) being able to play CloD the way I want to (i.e., single player, with properly "tracked" careers, medals, kill records - missions that "mean" something. Just like in IL2 1946), but this issue is very annoying, not to mention unrealistic (which makes it even more annoying). Please help! :-)
