Yazh-29 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Hi, I am looking for a conversion chart speed in IAS TAS for IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad.
69th_chuter Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 (edited) Something like this? Of course, TAS charts are generally aircraft specific and correct for instrument error (not modeled anyway, I'm sure) but this should be fine - lol. PS. This is generic from the old IL2 series. Actual conversion is done using calibrated airspeed, temperature and pressure altitude. A specific chart could be done if one knew the variables from the Stalingrad map. In BoS, you can set the temperature and the atmosphere pressure for each mission so all will depends of the mission creator. Anyway it looks like the default values are -15°C and 760 mm.hg. It should be checked in game (with some calculations) since the last patch because we can set the altimeter to the airfield settings now but I'm not sure that we have a readable altimeter setting window in game. Anyway only few airplanes have a thermometer. PS: you can also use a Dreiecksrechner like me
