6./ZG26_Klaus_Mann Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I'm looking for some good footage of Bailouts from the Cockpit, maybe even 1st Person. Maybe out of a Glider or so.
=LD=Hethwill Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Closest to 1st POV I could find so far...
Y-29.Silky Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 (edited) Closest to 1st POV I could find so far... I saw that happen in real life, saw the flames at a distance, I didn't know what it was initially until I saw it on the news. Edited November 14, 2014 by Silky
-TBC-AeroAce Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 (edited) Looks dramatic, how many casualties? zero I think It scary how easily that wing came off. The prop must has cut it Edited November 14, 2014 by AeroAce
DD_bongodriver Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 zero? And the pilot of the second plane??? second plane landed safely, everyone else bailed out including the pilot of the burning aircraft.
Bussard_x Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 second plane landed safely, everyone else bailed out including the pilot of the burning aircraft. ok good. These light planes were not build to carry 3 people on its wing, the pilots should lose their license, imho.
-TBC-AeroAce Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 ok good. These light planes were not build to carry 3 people on its wing, the pilots should lose their license, imho. I think it's quite a safe and excepted thing to do. I'm thinking the wing spa may have been damaged because they came together quite slowly. Mabye the extra weight on the wing plus the coming together did it
DD_bongodriver Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Yeah I don't think it was the skydivers that broke off the wing, generally aircraft don't like making contact with each other.
Hirachi Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 It not a first person view but it shows a Fw-190 pilot bailing out of his cripple bird https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zO4OHlVpApU
=LD=Hethwill Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 ATC guy was sleeping or what ? What a scary mess...
Lymark Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 ATC guy was sleeping or what ? What a scary mess... You don't really need to contact ATC when flying VFR inside a Class E or G airspace. Assuming the video shown is...
=LD=Hethwill Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 (edited) Not even when towing a ultralight ? That's whan happens, the guy hits the towing cable of the other pair. If i am correct and saw it right there is one front left being towed, you can see it clearly. Probably the plane we are inside of is also a towing craft and suddenly out of the nether comes another one ? Maybe rules are different between EU and USA regarding that... The chute worked fine thank God. Edited December 5, 2014 by =LD=Hethwill_Khan
