BishopNick Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 When I go to join a multiplayer game, I always only see ONE server usually with under 20 people and the rest (which is only a few) have between 1-5 people. Where the heck is everybody? Am I missing something? To make it worse, the only populated server is on normal mode so you pretty much know where everyone is.... takes all the fun out of the game for me. HELP!
YSoMadTovarisch Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Daed gem. Just kidding, game's quite populated at Euro peak time, around 10 AM PCT or so.
Chuck_Owl Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Yeah, we North America guys got screwed when Eagle's Nest went down. My timezone is mostly empty in MP when I can have some play time... so I just fly some other sim instead for decent multiplayer action.
SAG Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Yup mostly on Peak Euro time, for me that is around 3-4 o clock (GMT-5) play at different times and youll get an idea fast on when the peak times are :D 1
Bearcat Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 This will change over time.. hopefully sooner rather than later.
Y-29.Silky Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 (edited) North American Expert died with the Eagles Nest -----I live on the West Coast of America, and all Synicate, Ahktuba, and Heavy Metal are always full from morning to the afternoon, but this is during European prime time. In North American prime time, Expert servers are usually dead because North Americans need to play with markings for some reason, it's embarrassing Friday nights are usually busy due to Europeans not having work the next day. ducs Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Just waiting of dserver. Not sure when or if that will ever come though at this rate.
Wandalen Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 (edited) Hope there will be many players when Dserver and FMB gets out. Right now i think the game is going down hill due to.... Ehh, newermind. Hope to see you in the air ! Dam IPad autocorrect ! Edited November 14, 2014 by Wandalen 1
7.GShAP/Silas Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 There is no reason people in the western hemisphere can't play on Euro servers. If all the westerners looking for multiplayer action in their prime times joined those servers, they'd all get to play expert difficulty and missions to their heart's content. Currently in Northern California, I play exclusively on European servers(because they're the only ones running with any semblance of depth in their mission premise) . They give me zero problems.

There is good reason, lag lag lag... i played in one of them a few days ago and got mocked because i couldnt hit someone in my 109 until my 4th pass. he was teleporting all over...last time i play in that server

It hasn't been an issue for me personally or anyone in my group, though, and I ping better to Tokyo than to Berlin. Edited November 14, 2014 by Silas

I don't mind non full real but I must have people on TS to have the fun I want. There is another game with plenty of people and they are on TS. Yet, I still play this game a bit each day.
-TBC-AeroAce Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I keep quite nocturnal hours for my gmt time zone, I find Euro peak time is good 9-12 pm gmt then if I come back a couple of hours later the US player start about 2-5 am gmt. But I have defo noticed a drop in players since official release and unlock fiasco
Y-29.Silky Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 > There is no reason people in the western hemisphere can't play on Euro servers.Lag. Lag Spikes. You probably just don't notice them. >If all the westerners looking for multiplayer action in their prime times joined those servers, they'd all get to play expert difficulty and missions to their heart's content. There's a small window where you can maybe get 12 during North American prime time. And it's the simple fact that most don't, join them. The NAG normal server usually has 15 players on it a night in the Western prime time and refuse to join the expert server (many have tried to convince them to try it). The expert server has a short window of maybe 1-2 games before it's dead.

II./JG77_Manu* Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 i always liked to fly on the eagle nest with the american guys at later european hours. great server, great people. had never problems with lag or so (from central europe). hope something similar comes back

663rd_Clutch Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 A damn shame the Eagles Nest server is not available anymore.
unreasonable Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 (edited) EN worked for me as well, Syn not so much since with my time difference EU busy time is midnight and after - too tired to fly. I looked at the Skyline China server which is just about my timezone: it had a ping of 440! Presumably I have to go out through the firewall of Thailand and in through the Great Firewall of China for every packet! Need to change my username to Hi Ping for that one. SCG_Limboski Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 (edited) I have to concur--situation is not particularly good for us Western U.S. players. Edited November 15, 2014 by II./JG77_Limbo
