hi,

i just purchased the game yesterday to test if it is any good for my squadron fellows.

Atm we are still in Cliffs of Dover but would like to step over.

What I am looking for and I cant find it the Coop modus or a modus where we can hop in and have a quick round together.

I noticed the ingame Multiplayer menu to adjust IP adress, but I didnt anything for hosting an own server like we are able in Rise of Flight.

Where can I adjust the difficulty settings for the campaign?

Are the results I achieved in a campaigns mission of any meaning for the following mission?

How are own squadron skins mangaged? Where do I have add them? Or is it the same skin procedure as in Rise of Flight?

When I understand correctly, I have to go through a campaign to have access to all those "fieldmods" weapons?

Is there any other way like editing an ini file or sth?

Is there a file to tune the grafik adjustments to my desire? I just noticed the given solutions like low, normals, high or ultra.

Maybe an ini file aswell to edit?

So maybe one of you could give me hand here in the first steps.

Errm thx,... but I cant follow what that linked thread has to do with my questions?

The following is not possible (yet):

Adjust difficulty in campaign

Host own server

Adjust graphic settings (apart from the presets)

Custom Skins

You have to play the campaign to unlock stuff and the result of a mission has no influence on the next mission(s).

Oh really?

Thx.

Is there an estimated date when the game will reach the point it gets interesting or playable for squadrons?

Like for training, squad vs squad battles. Adjustable settings?

Do I interpretated the posts correct that using it as competetive eSport is not possible ?

not right now, game is still pretty much in development regarding those things. There is no official date at all, but i think the next half a year to year, all those features will come one after another

Adjust difficulty in campaign (1)

Custom Skins

Add to list:  Make your own missions.  :)

(1), If fact you can adjust the actuall settings, NORMAL and EXPERT by making then more "harcore", but can't make then "easy".

For example one can play in NORMAL without engines aids (or full CEM), navigation aids, aiming aids, HUD/GPS or EXPERT without HUD/GPS.

But can I adjust full real settings on, like no aids on, even without aids on demand?

When I flew some missions of the campaign as expert I noticed I could turn my own position on.

So I was able to locate my plane on the map, by pressing ,I guess it was "I".

Is there a setting I can deactivate it?

I am a bit buffed, as I expected basically something like a Rise of Flight 1942/1943.

Protocol stick with Cliffs. This game isn't going anywhere quickly, as you have already noticed. That is if it goes anywhere at all.

The points that you have already mentioned as a new player are the same points that irritate most of us..unlocks,graphics etc. The dev team are solely responsible for this for reasons only they understand.

The same dev team that needs revenue to continue has put in place systems that deter revenue... make of that what you want.

Since you already have the game take what you've learned here and explore it a bit. Without coop your only recourse is to find a quite server where you and your squadron can practice. Since your the vanguard to your group, fly it and explore and make your decision.

Sounds a bit like another piece of software goes into the desk for "later use".

Almost unbelievable as their RoF makes such a good impression in most belongs.

Why do they fail in Battel of Stalingrad in most squadron interests?

Well not my exercise to find out.

Thx anyways for your inputs gentlemen. :)

They don't fail. The game is still very much in development, and all those things will get sorted out. But yes, "later use" is undestandable..last weeks, i didn't touch it to much as well, due to the 33 people server restrictions. Hope that doesn't last to long, till they get "reopened" again.

As Celestial says, it's not a fail. But it's rather in a state of progress. Since you mentioned RoF I think if you check, it wasn't all together in the beginning. But is now a beautiful flower. BoS has a lot to offer and hopefully much more in the future. Squadrons can accomplish much as things are. But the decision is yours of course. Any say, Welcome to Battle of Stalingrad.

Yes. EXPERT mode always include "navigation aids" - is player option use or dont use.

Example: if you press I and M simultaneous you dont see plane in map (or be mapping M (or O depends what "map" you use) to toggle "instruments/GPS".

NORMAL can be equals EXPERT except for keep external vision (and 1x XP bonus instead 2x), and is possible turn OFF/ON "aids" in flight, as need.

Get lost? Turn ON the plane icon and pretend it is the tower stating the course, since the poor radio comunication options dont aid in navigation.

Protocol stick with Cliffs.

This.

At this point BoS offers nothing to squadrons wanting to play together. Sit back and wait another six months or so.

Right then.  See you in 6 months or so when you check back on it.

Exactly :)

But unfortunately for what you imply there, I'll still check the forum every now and then and will do my best to kill my favourite hobby and the genre in general by participating in this baseless, highly organised smear and hate campaign against the flight sims, this game and 777/Jason in particular.

Correct?

I was implying that I doubt you'll sit back and wait 6 months.  I expect you'll be complaining all the way, from what I've seen so far.

Ah, of course. That.

Yes, I'll wait with installing the game again until I see patch-notes and/or a MP situation that makes it look worth the effort. Does that mean I'll ignore the forum? No.

Like I said, there's a genre to kill and all. Can't just leave the hate-train.
