SAG Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 (edited) Notice the """" on the title. The video shows that i set my plane to what i want it to be after the startup procedure is over. (i dont set to 100% some things since my input device stutters between 99-100% for some reason, this way you can see what im doing a little easier) cowl shutters (inlet and outlet shutter control) set to 0% Hope this can help some people outuntil Devs can fix it. -NW-ChiefRedCloud Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Thank you very much jsags I have yet to try this but have hopes it will work. Now for my opinion .... yea we all have them .... IF the devs want to have the Start up all automated, I'm fine with that. But if they want us to manage our aircraft for take off let's not slip between. Either we do an auto start or we don't. Now I do still feel like this is just a correctable, WOOPSY but I'd really like to know. Till then I appreciate ALL the help I've received from the community here or will as I ask for help in the future. Because these are questions myself and my colleagues in New Wings will have to answer when a NEW pilot arrives on our doorstep. Chief

Chief You are welcome. i would personally preffer fully manual startup procedures, not even the the CloD ones but the DCS ones :D but i dont really think that this was intentional i think they forgot to add that to the Auto-Procedure, theyll fix it soon enough, for now just do what i did in the video S!

-NW-ChiefRedCloud Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Also a quick question on the video itself. I recorded a track of my start up bot all action which I saw both as I recorded and in your video were not present in my track. To be clear, in game yes, in track no. Extra HUD is on too. Chief
Yakdriver Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 what is the question? i do not understand.

Chief I am not sure of what youre asking exactly..... All of the input (green icons on the right of the screen) is set manually by me exept everything that goes after the "engine start" message that is where i pressed "e" to startup the engine. The headmovement is just my headtracking device movement ( Opentrack) Edited November 12, 2014 by jsags
SAG Posted November 12, 2014 Author Posted November 12, 2014 (edited) If you mean you recorded via the game Recorder, that might be your problem. i used Fraps to record the video Edited November 12, 2014 by jsags
-NW-ChiefRedCloud Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 That explains that .... thanks also your tip worked like a charm .... started right up ..... thanks for that too ..... then another problem seemed to raise it's head ..... I use a Saitek X52 Pro stick and throttle. I've had no problem mapping anything I need to them. Well I noticed upon take off that my main guns would not fire by my main trigger on my stick. My cannon fires via my pinky trigger on the bottom. So I go into the controls to insure I have it mapped and I do. But I remap it just in case. The alternative stock is Left Alt+Space bar I believe. I go back in game and no joy via trigger but ok with Alt+Space. So I reverse them in controls .... nope. So I delete the Alt+Space ...... nope. So I put every thing back as it was. Now I take a LaGG-3 and try this. Not a bit of problem with either trigger or gun. Odd huh? Chief

Chief The La-5 only has Cannons, no MGs so that might be your problem right there (there is a command for cannons, other for MGs and theres one to fire both at the same time)
-NW-ChiefRedCloud Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 (edited) Ok .... I'm ok with that but I could have sworn I saw the visual of gun pods on the top side firing, not to be confused with the nose cannon. I'll revisit it and try to clear my head ..... thanks. You were 100% correct I was, of course, wrong. Thanks for straightening out an old pilot. But you know it looks like it has a nose cannon but not. Chief Edited November 13, 2014 by -NW-ChiefRedCloud

Chief Hmmm youve got me thinking..... i think only the lagg has nose cannon (in the propeller) but the La-5 has twin cannons also on the nose (but not in the midlle of the propeller) i might be wrong though.
SAG Posted November 13, 2014 Author Posted November 13, 2014 Your correct ..... thanks Chief No Problem!
