Freetrack doesn't work anymore.

Oh god. I will use this until buy oculus rift. There is lot's of IL-2 BoS players use freetrack like me, and we stuck now.

 

I believe 777 will fix this MAJOR, HUGE, BIIIIIIIG problem before midnight.

TrackIR works fine.

 

last time I used facetrackNoIR before buying trackIR you had to install the natural point software and use the trackIR dll. If you use software that is NOT freeware, pay for it or shut up.

If freetrack uses parts of naturalpoint software (like renaming the exe, using dll or stuff like that) there is your problem. If freetrack is completly free of naturalpoint software or parts of it: go to our devs, if not, go to naturalpoint support and ask why you have to pay for their work. good luck with that.

Freetrack only using dummy file(It make freetrack looks like trackIR) and I agree it is the problem, but It was not problem until now.

If it have problem with Track IR legally, Natural point already do something about this.

Sorry, it may have sound more rude than intended.

 

Natural point is an offical partner of IL-2 BoS (see starting screen). If Natural Point called the devs or have an agreement that says it is only allowed to use TR functionallity with NP hard- and software, there is nothing you or the devs can do about it.

I can get freetrack to work, u need to do the following.

 

1 download and run opentrack

 

2 press start in open track but make sure the setting are set to point tracking and freetrack

 

3 open and run bos, minimise bos when past login screen

 

4 press stop in opentrack, open and run freetrack as normal

 

5 return to bos and volar it will work

 

The pitch axis will be inverted so u will have to change this in freetrack

The only problem is finding the correct open track program. I have a copy but don't know how to attach it to the forum. If someone can explain how to do that I will.

 

Also this is the same problem/fix for Elite Dangerous so if u search ED freetrack there are other forums and YouTube videos explaining how to do it.

 

Ps I tried searching for open track an the first hit the unstable version I could not get to work. If u look on the second page of general discussion 1.004 I think someone has posted a good download link but do not follow my link as it is the wrong one

Mate just put your opentrack installer in a rar file, then go to the full reply options and there you will have

the attach options, if the file is bigger than the actual size allow by the forum, you can use a site like

mediafire, 4share, etc to upload the file there and post the download link here. if you want send it to me

U can sign up without social media I checked

 

Click on the link

 

then click the small download button under where it says more and to the left of share

 

on the next page click Free download under 20 seconds waiting 

 

Then it will come up with the twitter, facebook blah and at the bottom left it says if you dont have social media "sign up" in small writing

 

do that then u are ready to go 

If people cant do that I will have to find another way of putting it up, I will do that this eve GMT 20:00
