I would like to publicly thank Hawker_Typhoon. Today I flew a bomb run on an enemy fuel depot in my Pe-2. I asked for an escort and he came right over and helped me. The mission was a success and I safely RTB'd. Thank you brother, I hope to fly with you again soon.

He's a pleasant person and talented pilot. I played with him a bit in a Yak yesterday.

By the way, Hawker_Typhoon if you are reading this, you were warping all over the place. When you were flying behind me, your aircraft was also changing skin all the time, that was weird.

spectre, in the beginning you gave the the impression you felt alone - but i had you in my view all the time from the moment you taxied.
i stayed above and behind, doing the S-weaving thing.

Nein SPEKTRE76! Escorts don't like to be in the public light!

But back in 1946, I was in a Ju-88 and all of a sudden 2, Bf-109's showed up to escort me. They stayed with me from my bomber point, all the way back to base; they didn't even shoot anyone down, but they did their job, and my goodness, I felt honored, I felt like I didn't even deserve that support. Never knew who they were, but from then on, I vowed to escort any bomber I see.

All i can say: when i stepped into the LaGG, i signed up for a certain set of potential Missions.

Free hunt, Fighter-bomber or escort being the most notable, i did what i was 'sposed to do... shepherd the Bombers to target and back out of the trouble zone

and all that happened is that i was lucky to not see some Friedrich or Anton show up over the depot.
