=AH=Shotdown Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 This seems to be one of the longest running VKB FBM threads around so hopefully someone in hear can give me some help. I managed to get my hands on a Fat Black Mamba about 6 months ago and am more than happy with the stick but a couple of weeks ago a Warthog grip fell into my lap and this of course meant sending money to Russians in China with the result that a couple of days ago a Warthog grip adapter arrived. Now I've probably got the best stick combo that money can buy and you would think I would be very happy but my complete ignorance of all things software (particularly VKB) means that I've no idea how to get the Warthog grip up and running. Everything works on the grip with the exception of the hat switch below the trim hat ( no real loss,no plans to use it anyway ) but nothing is mapped correctly eg: buttons seen as hats and vice versa. I know that I have to change the line numbers but I just don't have a clue how to do it, any help would be appreciated. Oh and, For all things VKB contact Olga or Daisy direct at :- sales@vkb-sim.pro
Sokol1 Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 (edited) UIV (VKB) has posted this in VKB (Russian) forum - in answer for (Google translated): "VKBDevCfg-C and section parameters gaming devices Windows7 not see the two hats (of Warthog grip), one button is working to pressing and releasing the two. Tell me how to solve this problem?" UIV "Sa January 3, 2015 3:10 Inside the archive, together with the firmware of the controller is configured to work with a grip Cougar/Warthog (cfg file) http://ftp.vkb-sim.pro/Firmware/Mamba/BM-FM_v1_58_6.zip loads the configuration, pressing Set. =AH=Shotdown Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Thanks Sokol, I would never been able to find that info, with the exception of the Trim hat ( not a problem ) everything else is working fine.

Sokol1 Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 "'Practically completed the development of a new Mamba. In the new Mamba little remains of the old. A lot of changes. Maybe the new Mamba even receive a new name. The announcement will come later." 1
SYN_Vorlander Posted September 17, 2015 Author Posted September 17, 2015 I all goes well the new stick will be released this Nov.
ST_Pirato Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 I'm really looking forward to it. Well,I'm looking forward already for over a Year so a few weeks or even months more doesn't matter much anymore (to me)^^.
Gump Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 I all goes well the new stick will be released this Nov. . shucks.... . i've disovered ( i think) that my cheapo logitek 3d extreme is the reason im having trouble with the yaw oscillations, causing mucho difficulty hitting anything with the guns. so i've been discouraged and backing away from the sims...getting involved with other things. . kinda wished this stick was already an option....any ideas if it will available in the US in november?

Have you considered the VKB Gladiator? http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/14343-vkb-gladiator-joystick-project/page-3 More information about the Gladiator will be coming soon from VKB and Stratojet. Sokol1 Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 (edited) Test your Extreme 3D with JoyTester2 to see his "health" state. http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1310&highlight=joytester2 The new VKB Mamba will be (IMO) more interesting for WWII planes than HOTAS Warthog, but will be in the same "high end" (price) category. The "announced" VKB Gladiator promise to be a good "entry level" joystick for replace ones like a Extreme 3D, with better electronics and functionality than the others in same price category on the market. Jason_Williams Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 VKB and Stratojet will be making an announcement soon about what products are under development and will be coming in the future. Jason 1
