Yes tikvic, I did hear from Eduard. He indicated they are taking pre-orders for the Fat Black Mamba and Mamba Lite.

I have mailed them couple of times, and not heard back anything. Did he give any details about pre-orders and when they might have the next batch ready?

Yesterday, I asked if he could give me any details regarding the availability of a new batch and promptly received a reply. He said that they were expected June-July barring any delays. I would still like to hear some comments from those in North America regarding their experience ordering from VBK and with the VBK joysticks.

Today I got an email from Eduard telling me my pre order is registered and that they are likely to ship in June-July. KG12 will be able to be shipped a couple of months later.

Sounds all good so far.

Has anyone else pre ordered a VKB joystick? Does anyone use one of the VKB joystick extensions with their VKB joystick and if so could you offer some feedback? Thanks.

Yes I preordered a Mamba light with extension and a KG12 as soon as it is available.

I got an Email telling me I'm on the list and they expect to contact me in the summer about it.

Waiting patiently now...

I preordered too. Fat Black Mamba with Warthog adapter. Only thing thatz eases the waiting time, is that my MFG Crosswinds will arrive soon.

Did you get a total price on that? Can you order the Mamba Light with just the KG12 for reduced price, or does it come with the standard stick and you have to buy the KG12 separately?

Would also be curious to hear first-hand reviews of these sticks in general. Does their solid construction make them more of a strain to operate than the cheaper joysticks?

@SeaQuarrk: No price has been mentioned, just that my order is noted and in due time I will get notified. If I confirm the order after this they'll sent me the pricetag (I presume) and that's it.

I expect the Mamba with extension first and the KG12 later (I read somewhere it'll be spring next year)  :(

I intend to report the process here, once it starts.

Thanks, Bando! Quite a mysterious operation they're running there, but I suppose that's to be expected for a small and specialized business like this.

I got a Fat Black Mamba from them last year. Once the Stick was aviable for sending it out it was at my home 2 or 3 days later without any issues.  Though the Warehouse is in the Netherlands and I live in Germany so it's not that far away. Even if Emails and Infos etc take some time, they are still a reliable shop imo.

A few days ago I got confirmation from my preorder of the Warthog adapter, that I showed interest in February already...well I'm still waiting for  the Invoice, the last Email stated that it's ready for order now and I will get it as soon as I confirm that I'm still want it which I did the same day.^^ Guess I have to wait, hopefully not for too long.

Thanks for this info Pirato and Bando. It is both Encouraging and reassuring to hear some feedback from folks who have 1st hand experience dealing with VKB.

Seaquark, it does seem to be a bit hard to get info on these Guys and most of the reviews I've seen are based on 1 or 2 sources and are a bit dated. Here is a link to a Russian VKB site that has some more info, although you have to struggle with Google translator assuming you don't read Russian.

I emailed Eduard yesterday with a few questions and received his response today. I asked for and was given a rough estimate for A Black Mamba Pro with a handle extension and shipping to the US.

I have been trying to pre-order a Black Mamba Light with no response from the web contact form.

Couls some one please provide me withe the e-mail of Eduard, as he seems to be handling most issues,?

Many thanks

I would still like to hear some feedback from folks that own VKB products. Does anyone in N. America use their joysticks or rudder pedals? Thanks

Sokol1, thanks for posting. I agree with your assessment, they do appear more like a 'lookalike' than a replica.

I hope their stick of the KG12 will be available sooner than next years spring.

I'll buy it in a second, no probs.

Hmm, I can`t see here any ergonomical advantage compared to the original design. Imho It just ruins the look.

I do like the stick, but its difficult to assess its availability etc.  I certainly don't like the latest sticks color palette and find it an immersion killer for a WW2 control stick.

I've sent VKB an email to try and reserve a black mamba pro almost a week ago and still have not heard anything from them.

Has anyone here tried to contact them with any success?

WilyTink, I have emailed them recently and received prompt responses. Try sending your email to   vkb@flightsimcontrols.com   if you haven't already.

Thanks oneeyeddog, that's the email i used.Sent one on Sunday and sent another directly from their store home page which is the same email but nothing yet.

I know the store page says next batch will be June/July...was hoping to get an order in before they are all gone.

Wily, the 1st few emails I sent were not answered quickly either. Once i 'made contact' i've received replies from Eduard within 24 hours so just keep badgering them. I think this is a very small company with  great products.

Thank you oneeye, i'll keep trying.

Sometimes it takes a good while until you get response. I've sent an Email mid February and got a reply almost 2 month later. After all they want your Money,so they will have to contact you,or it's their loss.^^

On the fligh sim controls home page under contact us, they give three ways...The email, twitter which doesn't look like it's been used in a long time and a box to send a message directly there(Which i've done).

Just seems like if they want to sell these products and they have the email under contact us, they should check it a little more often...I will wait a while longer but if they don't reply withen the next couple of weeks, i guess i will go with the warthog(Really want the black mamba).

Post - in English - in one these topics that you want buy, some VKB guys are write there.

- Use the same login from here.

But, since they only work with pre-order (take X order, make a batch, each take ~4/6 months...), is need patience to get one these "precious".

Hello again Wily. here is a link to the VKB Russian site that shows lots of activity.  http://forum.vkb-sim.pro/index.php  I've tried to register here using google translate by I'm thwarted by a final security question that will not translate for some reason.

Posted

 Thanks guys.

Oneeyeddog, i just tried that link and tried to register....lol.one security question translated to "what grow on apple" another was "Was color is ice"(I guess clear isn't a color).I used up all the attempts.

Sokol1, That looks like a good place to ask but everytime i try to go to another page Google translate just stops translating.

Appreciate the help, i will keep trying.

They updated their English main page.

Q: When the next production run for Black Mamba joystick will be available ? Is it still possible to get them in Q2 ?

A: Unfortunately, it will not be available in Q2. VKB was busy with production of new rudder pedals – T-rudder model. Therefore, production run for Black Mamba was delayed for couple of month. The joysticks are expected to be in stock in EU shop at the end of August. By the way, T-rudder pedals are arrived and will be announced on the website very soon.
