avlSteve Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 I've unlocked both the nose and belly cannon, but they both face forward. Shouldn't the one in the belly face aft?
Juri_JS Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 The position of the belly 20 mm cannon is correct. As far as I know they were primarily used against ground targets, for example on train busting missions.

Lusekofte Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 The Idea was to have a bigger punch forward to fend off frontal attacks . The forward encounter against fighters was fast and a mg 15 was not sufficient to meet those attacks. They might very well have been used against ground targets
1CGS LukeFF Posted November 10, 2014 1CGS Posted November 10, 2014 The 20 mm cannon were also used against enemy shipping to clear the decks of enemy anti aircraft personnel as the plane made its torpedo attack run.
Juri_JS Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 There were even special train busting versions of the He-111 with 6 forward firing 20 mm cannons (2 flexible and 4 fixed). Would be nice to have this as an unlock option. 2
