Leaf Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Better than nothing, I suppose: http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/nov/07/simulator-games-euro-truck-simulator "That may explain some of the appeal of hyper-realistic reality simulators, but that’s only one aspect of the genre. While IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle Of Stalingrad wants to give you an authentic impression of being a second world war fighter pilot "
-NW-ChiefRedCloud Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Yea but honestly, being grouped with a Goat simulator is not my idea of a great endorsement. Chief
Y-29.Silky Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 (edited) Is it sad to say I have Goat Simulator? I never caused so much destruction in my life. While IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle Of Stalingrad wants to give you an authentic impression of being a second world war fighter pilot " When the game was at 75%, the good ole days.. And I never knew IL-2 had that yellow circle and the lead indicator, that makes me sick... Definitely a step away from the IL-2 name. Edited November 8, 2014 by Silky
BigPickle Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 What it deserves. It just deosnt stand out.
No601_Prangster Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 A one liner in a mainstream paper is worth more in advertising than all the advertising 1C have done so far on flight sim websites like SimHQ. Silky, an optional aiming aid makes you sick and you consider it a step away from the IL-2 name but you were OK with the old wonder-woman view?

It's probably not well-know outside the UK, but any mention in any newspaper, especially the Guardian, is good publicity. Also, I don't understand how having optional simplifications makes this game less of a sim.
