Sort of looking for a squad

Hello there fellow pilots,

 

I am BlackHellHound1 (most call me "Black" or "Hound"). I have been playing this game for a while now and I find that it is a bit boring since I don't have anyone to play with.

 

A bit about me:

I am almost 19 (2 more weeks :D ) I live in the Netherlands and my English is really good. I am a friendly person, I don't like calling people names (this does not mean that I never do it!) and I understand when I did something wrong. I can talk about almost anything. I am pretty good with Photoshop, I use it to make WT P-51D skins but I am learning how to use it for other things. I made YouTube video's about WT but I am not sure if I want to continue making them.

I play a variety of games but my preference is with flight sims. 

 

A bit about my skill and preferences:

I have been playing simulates for a long time but never really got into them because I did't have the right gear. Now that I have a great set-up I want to get into simulators more. 

Despite the fact that I have never really spend a lot of time flying on the PC, I an not a noob. Flying planes is like second nature and shooting down other players is not to hard (although some training will improve this). 

I play with tactics that suite the plane and its flight-performance. I approach a situation with an analysing eye, I only engage if I have the advantage I need and know both mine AND his options (turn, BnZ, run away, his/my team-mates, etc.). I like to incorporate squad-tactics. I never play with the intention to shoot someone down, I fly to fly with the added bonus to shoot someone down (I do of course take every opportunity I have.) . 

I admit I am bad with mixture-, propeller pitch-, and radiator controls. I would love it if someone could teach me how to control these. Engine power management is no problem. 

I like to fly the Fw 190A-3 or Bf-109s because of the flight-performance and automatic engine management. I don't really play as the Russians because I am having trouble controlling the engine.

I prefer to play Expert mode because of the realism. 

 

My set-up: 

Reasonably powerful computer (about 60 FPS on High settings)

2 monitors 

Saitek X-52 Pro Flight System

Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals

5.1 speaker set

5.1 headset with a great mic.

Free-track (works without any problems)

At the moment I have TeamSpeak an Mumble installed. 

 

Am I looking for a squad? Well, yes and no. 

I am in a semi-WT Squad and I like playing with those guys but none of them guys play IL-2 BoS. I am simply not sure if i want to leave that squad yet. 

So basically I am looking for a small and friendly European squad I can play with and maybe join some time later if I like it. (I know it is a bit of a weird request)

There are a lot of good squads around that fit what you're looking for. Most of them will let you wing up with them for a test flight or two. Just to see if you like it. Good luck in your search, I'm sure you will find a good fit for you.S!
