Target aiming indicator ?

Hi All.  I have noticed mainly in ground attack missions the small yellow circle on the screen usually low down on the control panel, what is its purpose and how is it applied ?

 

           It first appeared a few updates back, is it some sort of target assist, personally after all the practice since day one I find that using the supplied gun sight, the right angle of attack and a bit of luck

 

           I have no problem destroying most ground targets. Is it some sort of target indicator ?   I suppose it has been explained, but i could have not read the script.

Yep, the circle is your bomb target indicator, and the square/diamond is for rockets.  It's just a cheat enabled on "Normal" mode.

I usually fly with it disabled, but I can tell you, that the bomb aim help is extremely accurate, while the rocket assist is not due to the random scatter of the rockets.

Is there something similar for the canon?

On some youtube videos a red cyrcle seems to be there for that purpose. But I cant find anything about how to enable it. Anyone knows more about it?

The red circle gun aim assister was an invaluable deflection training aid but for reasons unknown was disabled several weeks ago. The videos you've seen precede that time.

Yep, the circle is your bomb target indicator, and the square/diamond is for rockets.  It's just a cheat enabled on "Normal" mode.

Thanks All.  Must admit that i have yet to see the square diamond indicator, must be only displayed when carrying rockets.
