dario Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Hello, Is there a way to take some nice video in game ? With which softwares ? Thanks for your advices
Finkeren Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 I have no experience with this, but I know a lot of people use Fraps: http://www.fraps.com/
39bn_pavig Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 (edited) You can record "tracks" using the in-game recorder (ctrl-R from memory) and play them back later with some control over the camera etc. There are many programs for screen recording that you can then use to capture to a movie file for later editing. Fraps as Finkeren says. If you have a recent NVIDIA card though see if you can run Shadowplay http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience/shadowplay AMD has an equivalent in their "gaming evolved" app http://raptr.com/amd These two use hardware on recent GPU cards to record without impacting framerates. So if you have a recent card which is compatible with one of these two you may have better quality from your screen recordings. You can also broadcast live to the internet, if that's your kind of thing. Edit: Here is some info on the performance difference between in gpu video encoding (NVIDIA/AMD) and using fraps: http://www.gamersnexus.net/game-bench/1561-shadowplay-vs-fraps-vs-gvr-recording-benchmark Edited November 7, 2014 by 39bn_pavig

Sokol1 Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Well, the app are recomended above.... !? I find the game under a (extensive) game_detection_pc.json file as STEAM game, remove the STEAM reference (like some people did for other games) but still dont apear inside Raptr.
-NW-ChiefRedCloud Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 I used the in game recorder then loaded Fraps and the started my recording. I choose which scenes to use and got this quick down and dirty video .... Nocke Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 When entering the tracks menu, I find two options: "Edit", and "Load". Both buttons apparently just load and replay the track in the same way. I was expecting that "Edit" could open some possiblilty to re-record the track with different camera settings, as in old IL2-1946, but I dont manage to do that. Can anybody shed some light on this? Thank you!
