I have been using the 37 mm gun on the Lagg . When I make a run on a tank and fire only the 37 mm, the aircraft pulls to the left. Is this normal? I am running this in QMB with no wind.

Are you squeezing the trigger or pulling on it. I fly the LaGG most of the time and have never experienced it pulling one way or the other.

I don't think I've experienced this myself, but when I use he Sh 37, I only fire ultra-short bursts of 1 or 2 rounds with a single tap of the trigger.

The gun on the LaGG lies pretty close to the centerline, so unless you were already sideslipping (which is quite common in ground attack, especially against moving targets) you really shouldn't experience much beyond a slight rising of the nose, the aircraft slowing down slightly and a whole lotta shaking.

Glad to see fellow Master Races..

But anyways, the massive kick of the 37mm, that is a helluva gun that should slow the aircraft down a little bit, therefore allowing the torque to take part and when you're laying down on the trigger, even moreso.. I'm just speculating, but it was one powerful weapon that wasn't too kind to the airframe and speed, but I think I'm on to something here because I've noticed similar characteristics, though not drastically.

Thanks for your answers.I think I found out the reason for this. I use a MS FFB stick and I think this might be related to the FFB effect.

If you are using the twist handle for rudder control, even slight 'twist' unknown to you could also cause yaw.  Best to go into the curves and put a small dead zone for yaw, or get a set of rudder pedals.  They make flying so much more fun...
