Slaw Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Hi. I would like to show my new pedals. The steering dumper is not included in the kit. It can be purchased on Ebay (like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-Motorc...k-/331091458097). Cost about $ 50. The kit will include the mount of steering dumper and 1 or 2 extra cam.VO101_MMaister Thanks for help. 3
VR-DriftaholiC Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 I really think you've outdone yourself this time! I can't wait to have some spare cash to order some.
A_S Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 What do you charge for the kit ..and where can i get it from??
Slaw Posted November 21, 2014 Author Posted November 21, 2014 Hi. In January of 2015 will produce a few pieces (2-5), to test and to determine the final price (as in these pedals used materials and techniques that I have not used before). Therefore I can not just announce the price. If everything is OK - I'll start taking orders.
Slaw Posted January 24, 2015 Author Posted January 24, 2015 (edited) Hi.The first photos of F16 RudderPedals. Edited January 24, 2015 by Slaw 2
oneeyeddog Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 wow these are very elegant looking. Im one of those guys who prefers to work flight sim pedals with my toes, keeping my heels on the floor. It looks like thats easily done with these.
PA-Sniv Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Very nice! Will they be around the same price as your previous pedals? Cheers,
PA-Sniv Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Nice! Looking forward to more info about your project! Cheers,
oneeyeddog Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I found a couple of recent Videos posted on Facebook regarding these new F-16 flight sim pedals. They look exceptionally nice, and I really like the dampening system. Check it out if you get a chance. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-SzONP5_MK-P2OgTCgCMAQ
Robcart944 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 These rudder pedals look like they could have a force feedback on them.
oneeyeddog Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Well, I took the plunge and ordered these. Slaw says I'll get the first pair of the F-16 pedals, so I'll let you know how they are.
Slaw Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 Yes, number one, but number two is on the way to Norway now.
oneeyeddog Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I got my Slaw F-16 rudder pedals today and I'm pretty excited. I've attached the damper and tomorrow I'll give them a workout.
JimTM Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Very nice Dog! Pretty cool having the "Slaw Nr. 1" pedals. Cheers!
=LD=Penshoon Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Would love to hear someone compare these to the MFG crosswinds, they look great Slaw! 1
oneeyeddog Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Would love to hear someone compare these to the MFG crosswinds, they look great Slaw! I'd do it Penshoon, but it would mean I'd have to sell my other Kidney.
oneeyeddog Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I am absolutely loving these pedals. They are precise and the movement is very smooth. The workmanship and materials used are outstanding. The Saitek Combat Rudder pedals I was using worked OK, but the Slaw F-16s are really in a different completely league. I've installed the optional damper and have experimented with combinations of spring resistance and damper stiffness to find an ideal setting. Using hydraulically dampened rudder pedals gives a completely different feel and I'll end up with pedals that require more pressure to move than I've been used to.
NigelNigeltufnel11 Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 (edited) Those look fantastic but the real F16 pedals do not work that way. They pivot in the center on a single bar. I know this because I own a real set of F16 pedals. That whole mechanism is way too complex and not necessary but it looks cool. Edited August 30, 2016 by NigelNigeltufnel11
Slaw Posted August 30, 2016 Author Posted August 30, 2016 (edited) I know it. This is called a military minimalism. It is not done for the convenience, but for non-repudiation. Therefore, the original pedals do not have 30 bearings (in my pedals is for the smooth). And I think that the parallel movement of the pedals is more comfortable. (Especially for large angles of rotation of pedals) Edited August 30, 2016 by Slaw
