IRRE_Belmont Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 ahah, saw it too, it's been there since a while ! Really hope this plane will make it to BOS
Finkeren Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 That has been there since very early in RoFs development, litterally for half a decade. The I-16 is almost guaranteed to come though. The devs have made too many hints at this not to follow through on it.
6./ZG26_Klaus_Mann Posted November 5, 2014 Author Posted November 5, 2014 It's a Type 5, used only in the Spanish Civil War (and maybe others, but this is the most prominent. Maybe we have the Spanish Civil War at some Point? as a Prelude to the Eastern Front Air Wars.
Elbows Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Yep, that's been there in RoF as long as I've played it. I do hope we get earlier (even if they're not competitive) planes from both sides.
Danziger Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Yes I would love the I-153 and MiG-3 as well
Trooper117 Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 It's been there forever... nothing to do with Bo$. Although I would like to see the polikarpovs in a Barbarossa setting.
312_Lazy Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 I-16 is a must. In the old Il-2 the plane was seriously crippled by zero backward visibility but with current system (and open canopy) it would be easy to check your six.. Still no serious competition against german planes but could be great fun.
Czar66 Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 It's been there since I first flew RoF back in 2011. That baby must get into BoS. ; ) I'll buy any content that makes this series grow.
Potato Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 I can vaguely recall it from a film taped during the winter war. Would also be a nice little addon for BoS.
Gambit21 Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 The I16 in the old IL2 with that open canopy gave me perhaps the most visceral feeling of flight that I experienced in that sim, more than any other AC at that time. Of course since then I found RoF which gives me that feeling with every aircraft in pretty much the same way. Looking forward to getting the I16 back. Makes for very rewarding 109 kills.
6./ZG26_Klaus_Mann Posted November 6, 2014 Author Posted November 6, 2014 We have seen how versatile the Game Engine is I would love to see it in Spain and Finland. 1
TheElf Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 We have seen how versatile the Game Engine is I would love to see it in Spain and Finland. A perfect segway to the early China/Pacific theater and Finnish war. Now all we'd need is a Ki-27, Zeke, Oscar, and F4F....
Jaws2002 Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 (edited) That cool Noop28 has more style than any rata. I had so much fun in that bird. Edited November 6, 2014 by Jaws2002
6./ZG26_Klaus_Mann Posted November 7, 2014 Author Posted November 7, 2014 That cool Noop28 has more style than any rata. I had so much fun in that bird. It's like a Spad, but lighter. Surprisingly fast for a Rotary Engine.
SYN_Speck Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 It's like a Spad, but lighter. Surprisingly fast for a Rotary Engine. If only it would retain a little more energy in the vertical, it would be awesome! (As it seems it should! But what do I know.) I do love the 28. Great gun platform, if you can manage to surprise someone. I do hope we get earlier (even if they're not competitive) planes from both sides. +1! So much more interesting and fun to fly & fight in, compared to the later "uber" planes (whatever the era.) (IMO)
Finkeren Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Yep, that's been there in RoF as long as I've played it. I do hope we get earlier (even if they're not competitive) planes from both sides. I think I-16 vs. Bf 110C would be pretty interesting and a good match.
