Will BoS Be Available on CD/DVD or just downloadable?

Apologies if this has been asked before:

 

Will we be able to purchase a hard copy of BoS or is the business model just downloads? If you could reference a previous thread, I'd be grateful.

Since the pre-order is for pre-release, which is alpha/beta phases, and it'll be changed several times between now and the finalized public release candidate then there is little sense in doing a DVD as it will be worthless come gold release in spring.

 

When the software is closer to gold and ready for release, then we'll find out. However, again, just as RoF's original release DVD is obsolete so will BoS' DVD become worthless and several GB out of date after a year's time of updates.

We haven't decided yet what if any physical form we may sell BOS in.

If a Steam release is planned at any time, will our keys we bought here work for Steam? I ask because our web purchased DCS Keys to activate on Steam now, would be cool to have that option here as well.

Thanks for all the responses.

 

My own thoughts, being a little old fashioned, is that I would like the option of buying a hard copy even at greater cost. I just like having a basic back up in case of troubles with Steam or whatever download service. Some countries have difficulties with Steam or downloading in general. At least unlike the release of Clod they are telling us we are paying for an unfinished product well you will be paying for an unfinished product if you purchase it hehehe.
