I have been away for a week and have not caught up with all the threads so if this has been mentioned before, apologies.

Prior to going away I had unlocked all the Russian a/c some time ago and was just flying campaign missions with same without any CDT's.

Got back today and probably flew 7 or 8 missions with the already completely unlocked Russian a/c without any CDT's.

I decided to start (the onerous and bloody unnecessary) task of unlocking the axis a/c.

I flew a (full, experienced) mission with a 109 G2. Took off, accomplished mission, went through the exit point and was about to line up for landing on my home field when I got the dreaded CDT.

Has anyone experienced CDT's with fully unlocked a/c rather than while going through the unlocking process?

I've been crashing for the past 2 weeks in the campaign. It's frustrating.

I've had it happen as well. Particularly frustrating after a long successful mission.....

Got a CTD only twice. Both happened by clicking "Finish Mission" after landing with the 109 F4.

...and one time the system was completely frozen. Only way out was a hard reset. That happened while I was in the middle of a dive bomb with the stuka... But... I'm sure the problem was trackIR, 3ds max, TS, Voiceattack and VLC on the 2nd monitor. Maybe a bit too much... who knows?!

I solved my CTDs problems by updating java... try this out!

Updated to last Java version (8.25 I think), and I still get CTD in campaign...

Will try with unlocked plane.

I have had CTD with fully unlocked plane on return leg of flight. Also the strange bug where Esc does nothing after you have landed.

So far I have seen the following types of CTD:

1) In flight, in combat, just at the moment a bailing pilot leaves the aircraft. (3 times, twice me doing it, once the AI bailing).

2) In flight, in combat, not sure why but could have been same as 1 above. Not sure if this is the animation or some related issue.

3) On return leg of flight for no particular reason. RoF does this occasionally too - too many objects?

4) After landing and pressing esc, confirm end of mission button, BoS stops working. I would bet that this is the data swapping with the server being timed out somewhere due to rather slow international internet gateway, but what do I know.

I would be more than happy to act as unpaid tester for ctds as per Zak's post once the team makes the SP campaign playable offline.

It mostly happens to me when I press "Finish Mission". I noticed I at least get to keep my earned unlocks. I wonder if a debugger output would be useful for the devs.

I very very rarely have any CTD's as I just about always fly the Russian birds, most of the problems I have noticed through the CTD posts mainly seem to be happening with the German planes, no idea if it is related in some way though, wouldn't hurt to  look at the stats though.

I take that back, it just happened to me in my La-5 in mid mission. I know it has no relation to a specific country/plane.

Same experience as silky, ctd with Russian birds. Will have to start reporting them as per Zaks request
