This is very frustrating

Once again my game has stopped working. A few days ago the game refused to load and I did a complete reinstall. Today I went into the Controls section and changed some of my key bindings and joystick profiles. Then when I restarted the game and clicked Play all I got was a blank screen. I have check Task Manager and it says the game is Running - running a blank screen obviously (last is my poor attempt at sarcasm).

 

If this game had been made by politicians then I could understand - so much promised and so little delivered.

 

Game was directly from website.

This game is aweome. The difficulties you are having are not typical.

Are you on Steam or did you download the game directly from the website?

There could be a thousand to a million reasons why you are experiencing this.

 

Are your drivers up to date?

 

Try re-installing DirectX - I noticed in your signature you listed "DirectX10", except Windows has all versions of DirectX dependant on the Windows version. WindowsXP - up through 9.0c, Vista - up through 10, Win7 - up through DX 12. Just pointing that out, as DX capability is limited based on Windows version, GPU capability, and also what DX the game is programmed for. Now what you need is to just download the DXWebinstall from MS and run that to reinstall DX. It can help, as sometimes DX does get corrupted.

 

Typically when a game runs in blank screen mode its because it has been setup to run at a resolution that either the monitor doesn't support, or a resolution that hasn't been configured properly.

 

This is the fun part of PC gaming, it isn't just toss it in and play like consoles that all share the same everything. On a perfectly configured and dedicated gaming computer system, it is very likely that very few issues will be encountered with games. With a computer that is used for everything ranging from Quicken to Facebook farm, to something for the grandkids to come around and MS paint with, then things can get all sorts of misconfigured.

 

So even if it ran yesterday, and doesn't today because of some changes, then the clear quick test to verify is to reset everything relating to the game to basics. If it launches and works fine, something in the config could be conflicting or could be invalid. Always make a backup of cfg files before doing anything drastic, but it really isn't the game. Something is just amiss with the local system.

Pleease do that, it really helps. And after that check the cashe with  the launcher. Then update properly.

I find also that cleaning your temp folder helps when the game gets funky . Go to start run type in %temp% and then empty everything that's in it .
