79_vRAF_Friendly_flyer Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 I'd say he's fairly taken with the OR, and the sim!
JG27_Chivas Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Nice. Hopefully Loft will at some point expand on his experience implementing the Oculus Rift in BOS, and his thoughts on features that could be added to the Oculus Rift consumer version that would make it an even better experience in BOS.
ACG_Kraut Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Great job guys! You know the hard work is paying off when professional reviewer mentions your product and it's features as "highlight of my Gamescom". Keep it up!
Sim Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Nice. But the part about him ejecting from the plane.. does that mean ejection sequence is also in first-person-view?
Freycinet Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Since it seemed pretty easy to program BoS to work with OR the important issue now will be plane controls. How are we going to use all the switches, knobs and levers? - The important stuff can be used with a joystick and throttle, but since we cannot see the keyboard how about all the secondary controls? BTW, we already have one thread with all the stuff that is OR related, maybe better to stick to that one? I'll copy the link to this article into that thread anyway...
=LD=Hethwill Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 It is a good article and true to RPS style. He notes some very interesting points and details. Of course the OR vr option puts everyone in a "woooow!!" state especially if done correctly with the game. Glad they had the time to visit your booth guys.

Frey, There are many things the dev kit does not have that the consumer will, one of them most likely being a camera to allow you to see the outside world and whats in front of you. IE a keyboard.
