oho Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Hi all, do AI Planes use clouds as a cover? If not, do they at least not see through clouds? Any experience?
senseispcc Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 I had one experience where I tried, with success to seek cover in clouds when I was chased by some AI fighters. So I should say yes you can use clouds has cover. In the opposite case I have never seen or remember the case so I cannot be affirmative but I think so, they do.
Finkeren Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Clouds worked more or less as they should in Rise of Flight in that objects inside (though not behind) clouds became 'invisible' to the AI which would neither shoot at nor pursue that object. The AI couldn't deliberately use clouds as cover, though by chance this often did happen in dogfights.
