DD_bongodriver Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Now I really really want to win the lottery. http://www.repertoirecollectables.co.uk/a49006.html 1
Finkeren Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Nice... But shouldn't a Yak-9P have a VK-107 engine?
DD_bongodriver Posted November 2, 2014 Author Posted November 2, 2014 (edited) I think there were 2 versions, but a Klimov is not an Allison at least. interestingly the same place has a Hispano Suiza that seems a runner http://www.repertoirecollectables.co.uk/a49001.html Edited November 2, 2014 by DD_bongodriver
Finkeren Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 According to Wikipedia: The original Yak-9P project was to be armed with 3 Berezin 20mm guns (with 240 rounds each for the cowling guns - man that would've been a beast) I don't know if it was planned to have the VK 105, but it was never put into production anyway, so it can't be that version.
6./ZG26_5tuka Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 (edited) Might be this one? AT least the author mentions it to be the only running M-105 engien: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzcAccNLMew Sounds a bit like a Spitfire btw and matches the ingame sound quite well. Finkeren Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 It's amazing that this is the only one in running condition, considering that the Klimov 105 was build in almost as large numbers as the Rolls Royce Merlin - larger numbers in fact, if you count the 106 - 108 versions.
DD_bongodriver Posted November 2, 2014 Author Posted November 2, 2014 (edited) all got melted down and turned into AK-47's and Mig-21's Edited November 2, 2014 by DD_bongodriver
mixs2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 There are now Messerschmitt Bf109-F4 projects for sale to go with your Yak-9!!! http://www.repertoirecollectables.co.uk/a47068.html 1
DD_bongodriver Posted December 1, 2014 Author Posted December 1, 2014 I would hate to think how much money those 2 projects would soak up, look like they need complete rebuild.
