indiaciki Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 I'd translate the basics If somebody has trouble landing without bouncing. Helped me a lot. 1
TG-55Panthercules Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 I haven't flown the 109s much yet as I've tried to focus on unlocking the ground attack planes in PVE before the monsters enemy AI level up to where that becomes suicidal, but they are one of my favorite rides so I'd love to see an English-language version of that manual if you have the time and inclination. Thanks.
indiaciki Posted November 2, 2014 Author Posted November 2, 2014 (edited) Of course. Give me a week. The manual is about the gerenal landing with flaps based on the Me 108 B "taifun" but it has speed corrections and approach speeds for all bf 109s http://www.deutscheluftwaffe.de/archiv/Dokumente/ABC/m/Messerschmitt/Diverses/Start%20und%20Landetechnik.pdf Edited November 2, 2014 by indiaciki 1
Pteradon Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Im also looking forward to the english version.
216th_Peterla Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 (edited) Me too. Any extra info helps. Thanks for the effort mate. Edited November 2, 2014 by peterla
Wulf Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 And moi. I'd love to read it but unfortunately, I don't have the German.
9./JG27golani79 Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Does anyone know to what extent the speeds in this manual are applying to the 109? e.g. 130km/h at gliding flight with a ME 108 - would it approximately be the same for a 109?
LLv34_Flanker Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 S! 200km/h at approach, 180km/h at threshold and around 150km/h when flaring and landing at a 3-pointer.

unreasonable Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 @indiaciki no real need to translate a whole document, I am sure a simple table of the key data would get 90% of the goodness for most of us and we would be most grateful. I would be interested for sure - currently using Flanker's speeds as above, but always interested in any evidence.
Mungee Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 I'd also be grateful to have this in English, Indiaciki.

Since there is no way to reset your campaign to zero, this means you should think carefully before you start about which aircraft/mission types you will find easiest to complete against high level monsters. Since I did not know this when I started and we were told that the campaign would be reset on release, I now find myself having unlocked the planes I am relatively good at low levels and having to learn the stuka and level bombers against boss level monsters.

Y-29.Silky Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 You should, if I haven't flown a real plane in real life, there's no way I would know how to land properly. Stare at the middle of the runway, etc, etc..
