Unlocks, seriously?

I paid nearly $100 (USD), and I can't switch skins? It's not a freemium game after all. I really don't have the inclination to "grind" skins and weapon sets. The semi-open source of the Il2 '46 made it spetacular from an immersion standpoint, skins were created, swapped and made available of your favorite pilots and planes.

FMB et al. are in the pipeline.

Look at how RoF went and I see this being very similar. Immersion rich and feature poor at first, with more and more features added as time goes on.

In this case, these features include dserver, FMB, and skins (?).

And I was afraid there might not be a new thread about this today. You've been a member since 12/12. This can't be a surprise at this late date.

The campaign - by some people - goes on... Yawn.

Or rather the 896 who took the time to vote. Did the rest of them not care? Did they like the system? Are they waiting to see what happens? We don't know. We'll never know what the majority wants until all vote or they conduct a scientific survey. I don't see that happening either. So what we have is a very vocal group beating this to death.

Don't you just hate it when that vocal minority of 92,5% who thinks that unlocks are not a good idea try to get things changed  ;)

There was a poll where approx. 80% of us said that we don't like it.  They're well aware that we don't like it.  We really don't need more crying to make them aware that we don't like it.

I don't like the unlocks, and I think this is getting old.

It is what it is, the devs are well aware how most of us feel about it. Hopefully they'll change it at some point, but until then, there are more interesting things to discuss.

Wait, there is unlocks? Hmmmm interesting, maybe there should be some threads posted about it...

We do.

For as long as they will ignore us.

Please, you're beating about the wrong tree.

900 votes is certainly not to be scoffed at and casually ignored, it's a sizable group and an appropriate sample. I suspect that if the poll were showing 80% in favour of unlocks, we'd be seeing less of folks suggesting that the sample size is misrepresenting the supposed 'larger sphere'. ;)

I recently retired from a Fortune 10 company with several million units sold annually and we would be very interested in the results of a survey of nearly 1,000 customers and potential customers (if registered forum members who are not Founders are included in the poll results).  In fact, if the results were only 7% completely favorable as is this poll we would be running follow-up surveys in quick order to investigate the results further.

How do you see a sample size of 795 responses as insignificant?  In particular for a potential market segment of 200,000 to 500,000 units.

No, we really don't.  Because even those of us that agree with you are getting sick of your crying.  Grow up.

Still no answer.

It maybe getting old, but if you do such an obviously unpopular decision, there will be a lot of complaining about it. And I think it will go on for quite a while still.

You were told when you bought the game that there would be no refunds.
