HeavyCavalrySgt Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Seems a bit early to be bleeding players, doesn't it?
BraveSirRobin Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Seems a bit early to be bleeding players, doesn't it? Not at all. I walked away from Wings of Prey about 2 hours after I bought it. I just didn't go to their forum to let everyone know.

BraveSirRobin Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Did you buy in to Wings of Prey in early beta for $100? No, I think I spent about $40. $20 per hour a lot more than I bet he spent before leaving.
Lusekofte Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Did you buy in to Wings of Prey in early beta for $100? And who forced you? That is exactly the point you should remember. It was your choice. And buying a beta is a risk , that obviously a lot of people in the end was not willing to take. Deal with it
IIN8II Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Hope to see you back. Nice to see someone leave and not feel the need to trash the place on their way out. Respect.
HeavyCavalrySgt Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 (edited) No, I think I spent about $40. $20 per hour a lot more than I bet he spent before leaving. That is a fair point. It just bothers me that this is such a small market niche, and people are throwing in the towel when the game has just released, and some before it even got to that point. The players and the developers are alienating each other, thinking of Zak's post re: Metacritic and the animosity in the forums lately. As players do tend to vote with our wallets, or feet and our time, this isn't a great situation in terms of any hopes of, say, getting theater expansion or adding new aircraft. And who forced you? That is exactly the point you should remember. It was your choice. And buying a beta is a risk , that obviously a lot of people in the end was not willing to take. This community is suicidal. It's not enough for many people that they dislike a game. For some reason they feel obligated to try to convince as many other people as possible that they should also dislike said game. Or they try to organize boycotts to try to force developers to make changes that they want. We don't have enough developers willing to make these sorts of games now, and we're trying to destroy the few that are still here. It's really bizarre behavior. Just leaving if you're not happy with a game is much more reasonable. 6

This game, once FMB and Dedicated servers will be available, will be the best air combat game ever released. improvements are made every day by the most attentive devs ever seen. Unlocks are not appreciated by a great number of guys....ok ........and??? Is it a reason to stop playing BOS??? ..........futility and lack of constant 1

They had all the tools and support to do this right. 100% their doing. 5

Rjel Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Disappointment is one thing but we need a reality check on what we've seen around here lately. This isn't the end of life as we know it, it's just a game. It's not the Holy Grail pointing to ever lasting enlightenment.
BraveSirRobin Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 We agree, but I think t seems more like Mutually Assured Destruction than just suicide. No, it's not mutual. The devs are actually putting their money and careers on the line. All we're doing is trying to destroy them when we find some detail of the game that we don't like. That isn't mutual in the slightest. The only thing that is mutual is that everyone is screwed if the community succeeds. 1
Jason_Williams Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Ooook...that's enough. Wish you well JayDee. Everyone else, let's go fly instead of arguing. Jason 2
