setting joystick hat switch command

Hi All. While flying using Trakir,  I need from time to time to centre my gun sight to my line of sight, the default button is F12, I would like to consign this command to my hat switch, but i cant find any reference to F12 in settings.

 

          I'v looked in camara and pilots head positions but nothing ?

You need set the HAT (up, down, etc) on TrackIR wizard, not in game.

I set a combo key for this, hat 1 up = F1 + ALTGR + F12. F1 goes to cockpit, ALTGR + F12 is the command for my TIR to center and is set in the TIR settings. BOS doesn´t react ot the comm for TIR and TIR ignores the F1 comm. I´ve used this since my first TIR 3 back in the day (maybe 8 - 10 years). Also the combo works on all my different sticks, X 35, 45, 52, 52pro and Warthog.

I have gone into TrackIR, selected profiles, high lighted action [ which shows F12 ] clicked the F12 box which pops up a message saying "select hot key or button"  have selected the hat switch position but nothing changes, its still showing F12 ? also all side boxes [ enable/toggle/trap are ticked ]

I wasn't able to get BOS to recognize my trackIR center command when mapped to my CH Fighterstick.  I did get it to recognize the center command on my Saitek throttle quadrant switch.

You have bad luck.

I test here and TrackIR software don't accept HAT input as command, only joystick buttons.

Workaround: set T.A.R.G.E.T. (or JoyToKey) to make HAT send F-12 press. JoyTo Key work - tested.

Thanks Sokol.  I have selected a button on my joystick to center the gun sight, and all works well, you are right about TrackIR not recognizing the hat switch.

Isn´t there an option ingame that says something like "snap view back to center" or something like that. Can´t chek right now i am at work

I did set the TIR center to ALTGR+F12 in the  TIR settings, after that I did the same in the sticks settings as Idescribed in earlier, then you don´t need to do the setting up via the hatswich. 

On my  x52pro I set hat2 up as "cockpit" with the command F1+ALTGR+F12.

I´ve set TIR center to ALTGR+F12 via keypress on the keyboard. (I use the ALTGR+F12 for this as it is a rarley used, default, command by any sim)

In BOS the F1 enter `pit is default command.

Test in TIR  turn your head and press the hat in the direction you´ve selected for the action "center", TIR will react and center your view!

In BOS you will have the same reaction.
