Solmyr Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 The map doesn't show my plane anymore, nor the other ones, both in standard (simplified) preset and.in "custom" setting with the corresponding aids switched on. Don't know if it's since the last patch but I believe that not. May I take advantage of the opportunity to say that this soft is, in some very specific aspects and at this time (I strongly hope it will change soon), far worse than the Il-2 from 15 years ago !! I explain myself : - Why the hell don't you devs allow the user to select exactly what aid(s), in details, he needs or not ? - Why the hell a pilot couldn't have a map of the region in his cockpit ? Just a simple map ??? Is it forbidden by the Genève convention ?! - Why the hell the user couldn't make his own graphic settings ? On these points, you devs can look at 15 years back and admit that you regressed... BUT I have to admit I love your work in its globality, and I'm very happy that this WWII air sim is wonderful about its fundamental, essential aspects. That's a great job. It's worth our money. But please, improve all these things quickly

Beazil Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 (edited) Bring up your map with the O key, and press I to turn icons off or on to your preference. To the second poster, Regarding the instruments remember they are representations of analog equipment. The compass needs time to orient itself in level flight or it doesn't read correctly ( actually it's an assumption of mine - I have to navigate by instrument in Clod on the Atag server and I notice this all the time). Beazil Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Can't edit a second time. I misunderstood the second poster. Pressing the I key will solve your issue as well. I'm not sure all the information is available on expert though so your milage may vary depending on your game settings.
