Pretty simple folks, i am interested, if you would further support the developers, and the Il2 project they have started. Are u interested in possible new scenarios?

Right now in the forums, there is a lot of negativity around. But i think there are still a great many people around, who are fully supporting the game, and are desperately waiting for further development and new theatres. So please, take yourself a few seconds, and participate in the vote. You are also welcome, to back up your vote in the comments.

:salute:

Did the first vote myself, and voted for "take my money". By now, i have surely faith in the developers, and their project. Some of you, who are around in the forums definitely noticed, that i had a huge issue with the game (190). After some time, i connected with the head of the whole project, and had a lot of conversation with him, regarding the problem. It always took some time, but in the end, they fixed it to a 100%. And i don't see, why they wouldn't do it also in any other case. I have faith.

It's not Destiny here, with hundreds of people employed, and half a billion dollars to invest. It's a small team, and they can't do everything simultaneously, give them some time, and it will grow further and further.

Just imagine, how great this all could be, with the still existing smaller bugs corrected, and further theatres coming, would add a lot of diversity, the only thing, this project lacks by now.

And even if you don't like a few things at this game. Who is out there to do it any better in the coming years? DCS? Yeah, have fun fighting 109k4 in your bearcats over georgia. So much immersion. Not to mention the multiplayer lag festival there.

In my opinion, this project is the last hope, of us historical simmers. So there is just no other way, then support them. I rather have a half decent flight simulator, then no one at all. (I think the current is very much beyond "half decent")

Depends...

1. current model: full price + (any) unlocks: no

2. full price + no unlocks or low price + all unlocks: yes*

* option 2 suppose both models available at the same time - I would chose full price + no unlocks

Don't really know what to choose here.

A year ago, i probably would've chosen option 1, but now i'll first wait what they do with BoS. For me, very important features are missing or need fixing (FMB, skins, graphic settings, optionable unlocks, overall FM, AI, radio comms), so i'll first wait for those.

There'll be no surprises theatre wise and i can't think of user reports or gameplay videos that would change my view on wether or not to order it.

I won't preorder right away. If BoS is any indication, getting early access (if there'll be an early access) should be possible way after the preorder starts.

If 1C/777 first develops either:

1. RoF style role playing career for BoS, or

2. IL-2 1946 style Dynamic Campaign Generator, or

3. IL-2 1946 style FMB that allows you to string user created missions together into user created campaigns that appear in-game just like in IL-2 1946.  An ME (mission editor) without the ability to string the missions into campaigns won't cut it.

...then I'll be back in for sure!  If not, I'll never purchase another IL-2 branded product again.

I've got to see that 777/1C views one of the three features above as a critical core feature of any future scenarios/theaters offered by first adding it to BoS.

I say take my money.

Otherwise, IL2 has no future and this genre of gaming slowly dies.

There needs to be another option:

"It depends on what steps the developer takes to improve some of the outstanding issues with BoS."

Yeah, I'd be on with this one.

If this is it, well my money will be going else where.

With an immersive campaign system and an FMB here first, I'd certainly be in. Might balk at BoB though.

Ps: I haven't voted

Posted

Yep I'm in.

If I'd been making and funding this game, I would have done things differently (especially on the last couple of Dev updates), but I'm still satisfied with what we have, and would love to see more planes and maps in this engine.

And summer.

+1.

You have reached your quota of positive votes for the day

So have an imaginary +1.

Not looking forward to more addons locked this way. Just don't have the time for that .

2 month ago a definite Take my money! Now I choose I'll wait to see, and that isn't really the correct answer either. With wait and see.. I mainly mean wait and see what will be changed in the current version within the coming months..
They all have our opinion (via the poll) about the timeperiod we want (midwar) and were we want to fly next. :salute:

This: "It depends on what steps the developer takes to improve some of the outstanding issues with BoS."

Agree with Extreme_One's extra question, but given the attitude we have seen from the developers I am sceptical whether we will see any meaningful change.

I shall get as much fun from BoS as I can - which is a lot - but I do not see more of the same as being attractive unless the priorities are changed to reflect the clearly stated will of the customers, or third party modders are able to produce a good campaign.

4 for me. :(

I voted second option but regret it when I did some thinking, if it was in the veins of BoS

I would pretty much buy any scenario, even pacific which Im not that hot about.

I'd pay for a  good career mode add on.  Like many people I don't have time to dedicate to online flying.  I way to save progress in a career would be great.  Make me feel like I'm in a real squad.

You can already do this with Cliffs of Dover, sort of...... Your just missing the Hawk 75A, MS.406 and the Fairey Battle Mk.I

At the moment? No, I don't think I would buy anything any more.

Not a single cent of my money.

If they fix it up nice and actually support it, I'll give them another chance simply because the game does feel really nice after all.

And the Dewoitine D520, and the Arsenal VG44, ... Yes I'd love they do the Battle of France ! (Remember guys it was pretty a french aerial victory in spite of a stupid command, planes inferiority, a part from the few ones I just talked about, ennemy outnumber, of course catastrophic ground defeat, bad morale, etc.. with eventually a good positive ratio for the french pilots.)

I'd pick an option between 1 and 2 lol.  Voted 2 as that's what I did with BoS, waited until mid-September-- even though I also enjoy(ed) what 777 did in RoF.  I waited on BoS because of my experience with UBI/1C's CLoD (dove in without paying attention because I had really enjoyed original IL2/IL2 Pac/IL2 FB).  Once bitten and all that.  Totally impressed by what 1C/777 achieved with BoS and, despite my issues with the sim, I love it.  So I'm torn between 1 and 2.

Given that any new release is going to be some time off (I'd be surprised if it is much less than a year), I don't see any urgency to decide right now. It will probably depend on how much more work the devs do on the existing release. Personally, I think the non-fighter AI needs a lot more work, as does the campaign if they are going to stick with the unlocks (though I sincerely hope they don't). It will also depend on what the community manages to come up with, SP and MP-wise. I suspect that I'll probably buy the next instalment, provided the developers show signs of being in for the long haul, and also show a little more evidence of listening to constructive criticism.

Oups, I meant Arsenal VG 33 of course, sorry.

Funny. I'd just assumed that there would be something coming out quite soon, say a Stalingrad Early expansion, or something.

I have absolutely no basis for making this statement of course.

Hope I'm right!

Depends on theatre, business model and further development of BoS. If the game involves unlocking planes by flying them over Pacific, I may pass.

Unless it's WW1 title, then I'll buy first and ask questions later.

I will support.

Given what these guys have done regarding flight and environment, and the fun for value of RoF and BoS, I don't have a doubt that next project will be great as well.

Of course following a project is in line with being a early backer.

I have lost all hope there will be anyone crazy enough investing in this crazy community after the treatment cod and now BOS got. If I had money I would not waste them on me.

So I hope this will be continued, and just because of they continue I will spend money.

I hope developments on what is will be developed further, and I hope for a Kursk scenario with HS-129

The Duck(!!!)

I would kill for that plane having in an expansion. I think i wouldn't touch anything else for a long time. Give me that 75mm nooow. Can't imagine how this plane would shake around with every shot fired, with this brilliant flight physics engine

I currently don't want earlier scenarios, as I'm a 'midwar' kind of fan, and the current timeline +6 month to a year would be great.
Guess I buy anything to show support, as long as you follow the advice.. never ever force us to grind again, ever!! Historical technological advances is ok with me, but none of the planes changed so much during BoS, tomotivate it

(I voted up the badly coded, and really flawed MotoGP 14 from my earlier 2 to a 6, when I got an unlock file yesterday, (as I don't want to drive a damn moped to get to LvL 39 and choose a pretty slow Ducati, in the riding-gear I want!).. and voted down current BoS from 8 to 7.. and then I were being generous! Since I have no interest whatsoever in even putting on my TrackIR hat to get ready for some fun flying.. the only flying I do currently is sending a flying F*** to every sim with arcade elements)

Voted "3". Used to be a solid "1" guy.

See what happens to direction BoS is going. See if and what there is next.

1.Lack of difficulty setting

2.The silly Locks

3.Arcadish atmosphere (took off, level 1 pilot, medals)

Bugger me most.

1.Great feeling of "live" aircraft

2.Fabulous external graphics

3.Subject matter and aircraft

Are not good enough for play, but enough to stay interested in developments...

Take my money. I´m not an expert but I have great fun playing BOS.

Battle of ... Crete, Leningrad, Berlin (with FW190 Dora, please). Any of these would be great. Prefer Europe, not the pacific, although I would be a great Kamikaze :salute:

No joke, unlocks, XP and presets are arcade nonsense.

Posted (edited)

There is really not an option I can choose, so I did not vote.

I don't want to say I have lost faith and would never support anything else from them again, but in order for me to do so, they would have to change a lot of their game design in order for me to spend any more money with them. I spent 100 bucks on what I have now, and am no longer flying it since the day after they released their SP campaign system. No huge loss , I did get  a good bit  of enjoyment out of it since EA started up until they released the SP system upon us.

So if the next offering were to be the same in design and gameplay as what we have now, then no I will not purchase. Not a chance.

If they get back to more of what I enjoy for SP, a good role playing and robust campaign system ( something like what ROF has or even better ideally), then yes I might consider giving it a go - but then, only after release and see all the reports on it.

At this time, I would be very gun shy. No way would I ever buy into any Early Access offering from them again.

Myself and many others would fully support the Pacific Theater from start to finish. However a FMB, good cooperative type play system, IP host own sever is a must. Anything like an SEOW campaign building and recording type system would also be a great asset as there were at one time many self affiliated squads who enjoyed the immersion of squad vs squad campaigns, something that has been sorely missed for some time.

Yes, for that, I understand you. Strongly hoping the devs will change these things very soon. What a pity to have such a wonderful WWII air sim with such components !

About XP, I don't like the way they did the thing but, if I had been at the commands, I would have done a system with "influence", "tiredness" and "morale" : the more you get influence, the more you can change the routes to go to the objectives, the covers and things like that. The more tired you are, the more time you need between 2 missions and the more time you need to recover from an injury, and so the more the campaign takes place without you. The more you loose squad friends (particularly vet ones), and the more you loose terrain, the more you loose morale and so it affects the 2 other parameters. For instance. Something like that. In a really realistic and immersive campaign.

Not in that poor "training and and unlocking area which is called CAMPAIGN" !!.... Of course.

Sorry for the off-topic skid. ;)
