mudpuppy Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 He (and his band mates) made such an impact on the music of the late 60's and early 70's. It may not be their most popular song but I always liked "Tales of Brave Ulysses". I first heard it when I was real young and my oldest brother was telling me about the the Odyssey by Homer, while he played this song on his stereo. Mixing up classic Greek mythology with psychedelic rock...Groovy!
feuervogel Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Well, I've been to a "Randy Hansen" concert yesterday when the supporting act "Lord Bishop" announced some very sad news before they started ... I have never seen Jack live but it hit me like a hammer because I have not had heard the news that day. Randy started his set with "Sunshine ..." celebrating Jack's passage. It is a grievous loss, will keep playing the records ... like they say, "he's not gone, he's just dead". RIP Jack Bruce
arjisme Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 RIP, Jack. Thank's for all the great music. You were part of great things!
HippyDruid Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Strange Brew that Cream! A brilliant musician, and a real loss! RIP Jack
