ShalashakaDS Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 (edited) Hello everyone, i didnt find anything regarding this particular problem (if i missed something plz forgive me) so i ask, anyone else having problem to have the game recognize the second X-65f throttle lever? I cant assign any axis to it and its a problem im having since the very begining of Rise of Flight too. Anyone can point me to some fix or work around? Any help would be very much apreciated. ShalashakaDS Posted October 25, 2014 Author Posted October 25, 2014 Ops, my bad, if a mod could please move this thread, however, ive searched there also, no mention of this problem. 1
Timo_FIN Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Hello all. I am having the same problem with my Saitek x-65f. I am learning how to control / fly He-111, but the game does NOT find / recognize second throttle. Saitek sofware works / finds both throttle, so, the problem has to be in BOS. Any ideas how to deal with the problem ? I can fly two engine planes with just one throttle, but it would be nice to have real control over both engines.
B12 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 (edited) Hi I have the Saitek X65F along with TM Cougar and Warthog. For some odd reason Saitek have chosen a peculiar axis routine for the X65F second throttle that many sims just wont recognise without some hard work by the sim developer it effects, ROF does not and in the early days DCS series Aircraft never either, FSX and some other sims worked out of the box with it with both throttle axis recognised though. It can be fixed on the game developer side and I know this because DCS now recognises both of its throttle levers properly once this problem was pointed out to them and a dev there owning the X65F I know of must have seen to that, pointed this out on RoF many moons ago, and I don't think this game engine will ever be able to recognise the X65F second throttle without some hard work unfortunately? You can talk to Saitek, but they are not interested in past ventures, not sure if their new dual throttle X55 Rhino uses the same axis routine and works in BoS and RoF? I'd like to think they listened to past feedback, but they are a stubborn crew ... I know because I used to beta test some of their stuff and feedback was ignored mostly. Although the X65F is largely a gimmick and best suited to Jet sims ... its a bit of a shame, the X65F's throttle is quite nice and has more rotary's then the Warthog throttle, have often contemplated selling mine but keep meaning to get back into Falcon 4 BMS where the Force Feedback X65 stick really shines. I honestly dont think the X65F is best suited to this genre though. EDIT: I've not tried my X65F with BoS yet, but I just know the second throttle wont work in this particular sim, can try and report back if you like, but I fear we are snookered here. majkel Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Bump. Is this issue going to be resolved one day? The sim is not recognizing the second x65f throttle.
Beazil Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Have any of you tried the updated or beta drivers? I'm in the process of updating my backup and it has an x55 on it. My buddy has my x65f at his place and reported similar issues, but I do know there were some issues particularly with windows 10. I'll update myself later.
majkel Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 I'm on Win7, latest stable drivers. Any other sim is working fine with the throttle.

Worked fine for me Yet somehow only BoS has issues here. I'd rather see an official fix, I don't want to mess around with registry. I don't want to break other sims I fly.

I dug one out recently and this allowed me to use it with this sim, using both throttles, the saitek software, and all buttons recognized. It's important to REBOOT afterward for it to work. S!
OG_NickNack68 Posted February 10, 2022 Posted February 10, 2022 I know this is an OLD topic, but I just purchased a used x65f for use here. I saw Valentyn's post and that have me hope except I don't understand what he means by "Wrap the text below in .reg file and run it." Please help the dumb kid out! Thanks guys! Create a .reg file using a text editor program and paste the text in. Save it. Then open it. That should automatically add the registration values to your windows registration file.
