Is there any need for basic flight school?

Seen one or two posts in need of basic piloting skills...

There is a need for basic flight school, and advanced air combat flight school. There are a few indiviudals that are well versed in the ways of air combat manuevers through the USAF and the USN here, and I think some other country's aviating military - and they could lend all sorts of awesome knowledge. Now - if they will is another matter. Of course, Robert Shaw's Fighter Combat: Tactics and Manuevering is a very good resource for those that want to get a better understanding of air combat because climb rate, accelaration, dive, roll, etc are actually only a part of aerial combat.

Quite frankly it doesn't take an actual military pilot - lots of experienced guys who have been flying virtually for a long time could do it just as well.

I'll disagree on that one. I can hold my own, but I've come up against experienced military pilots with years of experience and while it was a good fight, I was just being toyed with.

They should just pay Requiem and put his videos in the game.

I stated back in December 2012 my intention to start a flying school. I'm still interested if I can find four to six (or more) interested IP's to run a school. I'd need an IT guy for the server stuff and a mission designer besides those who teach. I am well qualified for teaching the basics/BFM. I'd still be a student for ACM. I'm willing to take on some of the financial responsibility.  I envision it as less rigid than the Joint Ops guys from Il2 '46, as I could not make their schedule work for me, but still organized. With a linear training schedule and written/stated training plan.
