Missing first letter in name

So i did not have this issue before but today i Login to the game and notice the first letter of my name is missing, figured "oh well" so i started playing the missions again and notice "hillaSteve killed ot" so not only am i missing the first letter in my name but so are the bots...

 

umm, odd I dont think the game updated. tried the verify integrity through steam but still missing the letter.. odd bug.
