So I was wondering. During the air battle over Stalingrad, regiments from Croatia and Romania also participated.

Does anyone know how many countries flew over Stalingrad and do you think implementing more countries in the game would be doable. Something like Il2 Forgotten Battles. I would love to see it, but I don't know how much of a hassle it would be.

 

What are your opinions on this matter fellow flyers??

Well, I've researched a little on the subject; different sources are giving conflicting answers.  One source claims that Romanian IAR 80s played an important role in the battle, while another said that Romania played a very small part because the Luftwaffe was moved into Bucharest just before the battle, thus nulling the need for the weaker and less equipped Romanian air force.

Yeah, the net doesn't really give out very detailed info. The stalingrad battle involved units from Hungary, Spain, Croatia, Romania, Italy. But the info on air war is scarce. I think such a feature would work as addon content after the main camopaign system gets ready. It would take some work and investigating to do. Hovever if it was done in Il2 FB I think they could do it again.

There was also considerable diversity on the Russian side (the Soviet Union incorporated a great variety of groups).
