[TWB]80hd Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpZxRLIVwt8 good old WT gamers I believe TWB comported itself in exactly the manner that WarThunder cultivated.
[TWB]Pand Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpZxRLIVwt8 good old WT gamers Many of us were Alpha testers for War Thunder and had high hopes for that game... up until they turned their focus to a mouse clicking bomber party. Once they turned their back on their true FM developers and the FRB community, many of us took our leave. Back in the day FRB used to be enjoyable --- not realistic, but entertaining.
Trooper117 Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 When you have one of your squad calling people who play SP 'peasants' just because they enjoy the game in a different manner, it really doesn't showcase your group or its professionalism in any way, it just has the reverse effects. 1
[TWB]dillon_biz Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpZxRLIVwt8 good old WT gamers You seriously took the time to google search TWB? But since this thread is already veering off the tracks hard, lets take a look at the real diamond in the rough on page 1: Noone will play until balancing between the planes exist. Make it accurate and give us decent multiplayer scenario possibilities, and we are fine. In this state, not many people fly just dogfightservers. I never flew that much dogfight servers as it ...well... it is no fun. Until we have no correct FM, DM and such, there is no value to start training in these conditions. Sorry And I dont want to play singleplayer campaigns on and on to grind the vehicles I already own. I hate singleplayer, especially when it is boring. Yes, "balance" the planes please.

You've never played multiplayer with us before We have a great time and peasant is used often. I have no issue with anyone playing single player and enjoying it. But at the end of the day, this is a multiplayer focused thread, and if you don't have any multiplayer experience, trolling in it is entirely inappropriate.

If you actually have read the thread you will have gathered I have had years of MP experience. That is beside the point... one of the subjects raised here was why people 'don't go online' and that certainly is something that needs to be rectified if the devs want more people to enjoy all the game has to offer.By name calling others, it clearly shows why squads need to moderate their members so they don't put potential MP's off.You have one of your squad saying that people should try MP and that it is a great experience. Then you have another clearly jumping in clearly trying to upset SP's who will just re affirm what they suspected was the reason they no longer want to go on MP... counter productive. In my days of MP with the old IL2 (for years) anyone who upset the applecart was binned from the squad, as our image was everything, and we intended and had one of the largest online groups at that time... Great so now you've taken a thread about multiplayer and turned it into one that addresses intra-squad policies.

Never, ever get mad in combat. Very unprofessional and will most likely get you killed. But I do love shooting things on a regular basis...

It's not just "one of our squad" that is saying that Single Player BOS is boring and an aberration for them to force us to play it to unlock field modifications.... read the 1000 threads about it over the last several weeks if they're not already locked or deleted. All we have been doing is actively promoting multiplayer as well as IL-2 BOS. We still hold Tuesday night "War Nights" with an effort to bring in more multiplayer players to experience what quality MP this game has to offer. We help people who need help in all aspects of the game, from connecting to multplayer servers, to performing engine management. We prefer to fly German; however, we actively switch to Russian to balance out the servers to make the game more enjoyable for the masses. Many of our members also contribute to MP server funding in other countries. Please read the book and don't just write off the cover. If you have no interest in MP great---- but to belabor this point is unnecessary based off of a single interaction with someone within a thread on a forum.

But I do love shooting things on a regular basis... I'm mildly retarded, easily baited into a rope, and patently unprofessional. I still have fun though! (If you do want to wax that dillon turd, I will be happy to fly wing while you do it... I hate gingers.)
[TWB]80hd Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 And as far as the whole "vast majority of the player base is single player", here is the ONLY poll I have seen on the breakdown of how many players ONLY fly SP: http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/11374-how-do-you-play-game-poll/ The vast majority of the player base indeed enjoys at least some multiplayer.
Streiff Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 at europe prime time yesterday evening it was more than 100 people playing online, alone 75 on SYN server. Exactly, and the other 25 who want normal settings or cant get into the SYN server spread out on whatever servers. In other words empty. 100 players on prime time is pretty underwhelming.
Trooper117 Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 I'm mildly retarded, easily baited into a rope, and patently unprofessional. I still have fun though! (If you do want to wax that dillon turd, I will be happy to fly wing while you do it... I hate gingers.) I don't bare grudges..... Hmm... a GWA eh? explains a lot. I had several like that in my platoon. Easily enough sorted.
[TWB]80hd Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 lol So glad my earlier point was proven in such dramatic style. Who on earth would want to fly online and risk meeting this bunch? Oh well, if flying round in circles shouting pew-pew at each other on mics is what passes for fun ... Me? I'd rather simulate war with the mindless bots. Plus i don't need to listen to them droning on my headset, and wait whilst they eat their dinner or get another beer. Ciao. You sound SUPER Extreme. To each their own. Ciao.
Bearcat Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 I remember my first months of 1946, It was me and two other friends at the time, Roozter, and Rambo. All we did was host our own server and play around dogfighting each other. It was a blast, and we learned so much by just having a great time. That went on for months and months. That's another simple option that would make this game grow. I don't understand. This is another one of those decisions that I don't get along with the skins and the forced SP ... but it is what it is.. and this thread needs to go in a different direction or it will be locked as a thread that has outlived it's usefulness.
ST_ami7b5 Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 (edited) Still unlocked? LOL! Oh, seems not for long ^^ Edited October 23, 2014 by ST_ami7b5
