Kinda makes me sad, theres a total of 15 people playing online atm.

Posted

Syn was full earlier. Just wait for dserver which will be ready very soon.

Posted

Was playing with over 70 on Syn earlier today.

Posted

Give it time..

All those people buying it today have to grind for a week to get their unlocks sorted.

DServer! If you build it... They will come!

Posted

People are still buying the game, patience! :salute:

Majority of people are singleplayers.

Server build is not publicly available.

Prime time Europe time always sees full servers, especially the custom mission ones.

US times can be tricky but if no one joins a server because it has few people, the server will never fill up. Join it, do some procedures, practice, etc, eventually folks start to join up.

I do believe that not releasing the server files is impacting the multiplayer.

And I assume like many others we where waiting for the release in order to host our own server's.

Was under the assumption that the server files would be a part of the release but seams like that is not the case, nor has anyone commented on what is actually happening with the server files ??

Hope it comes soon as they have restricted the servers I assume on a need to know basis but now its our turn..

Hard for most North American gamers to join a good server, not much choice.

Hope we get a response soon.

Noone will play until balancing between the planes exist. Make it accurate and give us decent multiplayer scenario possibilities, and we are fine. In this state, not many people fly just dogfightservers. I never flew that much dogfight servers as it ...well... it is no fun. :) Until we have no correct FM, DM and such, there is no value to start training in these conditions. Sorry

And I dont want to play singleplayer campaigns on and on to grind the vehicles I already own. I hate singleplayer, especially when it is boring.

Well we have 6 or more on team speak every night and the BOS NA Normal server is 15 or more players at peek time so not sure what you mean by   No One will play.

Most of us love the game and have been waiting to create a good server where we provide our players with what they want !!

What I want is less restrictions on planes available to fly :( I spent extra money for the La5 and the Fw190, and I never even get to fly them online because they are never available.

That kinda sucks.

Badly need a U.S. server, like eagles nest.  Mistake to not have one up and running with release.  I don't understand how many easy things are done so wrong with this game.

But what you going to do.  It's the only sim in town it seems.

What do you consider to be out of balance?

Posted (edited)

Not having Good North American servers would be what I consider out of balance. Not much choice right now like I said before how they have the full release without providing us the option to host our own server is beyond me?

But not responding to Founder's and players is another thing.

Was the release rushed without the consideration of people who may want to provide a good server.

I mean If we have a good server and we invite a friend, then they invite a friend would that not mean we all win. They buy the game and we host what we want to play??

why not just fly in SYN?  If all the people complaining about not having a full real place to play would just log into SYN it would be full right now.

Posted

Not picking sides SYN but I love to play on normal settings as I am not that good at this game yet. Your server may be what some people want but there are some that want something else!

You have obviously had the opportunity to host a server before release but this is not fair to the others that may want to play on a server closer and with other settings.

I remember my first months of 1946, It was me and two other friends at the time, Roozter, and Rambo.  All we did was host our own server and play around dogfighting each other.  It was a blast, and we learned so much by just having a great time.  That went on for months and months.  That's another simple option that would make this game grow.

I don't understand.  :(

Not sure why the developers are avoiding the conversation about Multi player servers.

They are probably still busy.. Just because the sim is released doesn't mean their work is done.

he may be right though

I was under the understanding that the servers currently being hosted where for the testing phase and upon release we would have the opportunity for our own servers to be hosted.

Guess I was misinformed ?

That would be very appreciated posted on the NA side so we can have some resolution.

Work on additional software starts tomorrow. Viewer for authors skins, Editor and Dedicated Server. First you will likely get a server, and then the viewer and later the entire editor, will be updated and update the game for a long time.

This is what the translator did for that post.

Also, remember - just because the game is now officially on sale, we're not going to see a huge wave of ravenous new players.  Anyone who was chomping at the bit to play the game has bought in on early access.  It will now be a trickle of new players (with a bump if the game is discounted on Steam sales every couple of months).  They're not opening some flood gate of access --- the game has been available for those who desperately wanted to play.

No access to server building will hamper this until resolved obviously.

How could we who bought it recommend it in its current state. I had prayed they would listen to the complaints but they did not. A sim with this pedigree dumped onto steam in such an ad-hoc manner screams clod 2.0. Seems like 777 did just enough to forfil their contractual oblegation and then did a runner to complete their next project. No indications of summer map, new planes or expanded theatres... Nope this is it. Another sad day for the IL2 brand. May it rest in peace.

While having some good servers available when the files are released would be a plus, ping doesn't have that much of an impact.  I regularly play on EU servers or Syndicate with other NA players who are on the West coast.  Unless the servers are based over in, say Russia, you won't notice a real difference playing on a server across the pond.

We want our own server .

How is that so hard to understand?

Across the pond ok but we want to play on our own terms.

We will host a server and regardless of the numbers we will have fun and grow as a community.

Based on how many people play online during american times, I wouldnt have my hopes up that it would really make much of a difference in terms of numbers. I certainly wouldnt be more inclined to join a game just because its local, I want to join games that are near full. I bought this game to play it online, and the only time people are playing online is in EU peak hours, so most people, like me, will just stop checking multiplayer soon and probably move on.

It's a shame, DCS is the same with the WW2 dogfighting server. I really wish there was a flight sim out there that had a constantly active online community, it seems the only place we can find that is in war thunder, and thats pretty disappointing.

I am trying on my end but it seams EU has the priority

Posted

Well, in late afternoon I wasn't even able to get in at the EU NORMAL server... All were filled with happy guys like me playing the best ww2 combat sim ever made available :-) So.... It all depends on, where you live on Earth....

Posted

That is nice you can play on the EU server.

Sux most Canadians would like a server with good latency as well!

Posted

at europe prime time yesterday evening it was more than 100 people playing online, alone 75 on SYN server.

Posted

Patience. The DVDs are not even in the shops yet. There has only been a single day of soft launch. Dserver is still in closed beta. It will come.

Posted

I am gonna try some mp on the evening. Got me a few week of from work. So no it,s ww2 time :)

Have to go on at the right time. In the afternoon for me (West Coast USA), I joined with 70 players in the Syndicate server. Evening in America's time is very pathetic with numbers, and the majority are in the normal servers.

Dude, it's been "finished" for one day. What did you expect them to do, release 8 more planes which would have broken flight models before the game was even 100% complete? Though I do agree with the summer map.. Expanding theatres already? Get real man..

And this is one of the biggest reasons why the majority of players never venture online.

Who wants to spend time around egos like this?

It's fun when you shoot them down!
