Unlock Modifications is a boring process to be honest...

Its kinda forcing us to play 20-30 hours (or even more) of single player to be able to experience "full" game in MP... Any hint about how to unlocks things a little bit faster, I don't want to jump in to MP with no unlock,,~

Do the missions, kill extra targets and land = more XP.

I'm just starting, and having big fun, although in the fw190 intercep mission, dawn, expert, I couldn't find the bombers :-(

You can scale the time to 2x, could help out during transit.

It doesn't take that long to do. Fastest way would be to pick the rides you want to concentrate on and ignore the rest. I unlocked the f4 first, am halfway through the a3, and have some of the mods for other planes. The biggest time waster for me is ramming ea and crash landing which net me zero and 50% experience respectively.

The unlock exclude our squad to be active, very few of us got the time for this crap. I really cannot understand why the developers choose to ignore 90 % of the customers

I'm with you, but I am going through the pain of it all. It is a great game when you can get by the cheesy Xbox unlock things.

Shouldn't have to grind though unlocks, to be honest. The fun if playing the sim should be actually playing the sim. gg.

This campaign sucks, it's so frustrating.

Got 4 planes shooted down, and sudenly my left wing cut in half by a ghost AAA.

Rage quit, nice game, really enjoy this...

I don't care about the SP mode and I must "play" it for hours.

It's the biggest fail of this game really.

Not in a hurry myself, so it is hard to grasp the concept of wanting to do it in a day or two. Sorry to say.

Don't misinterpret me, I don't support the system. But...

Doing 1 mission a day in the evening, full length, expert. In a month I might have the extras, but not really a deterrent to play MP.

I think the timeframe of doing the campaign is highly acceptable, doing 1 mission a day.

What kind of "unlocks'' do you miss to fully enjoy MP? Each plane has its standard equipment right from the beginning.

Standard bomb loads are not "field mods."

Attempting to rebrand a terrible concept doesn't make it any less terrible. They are "unlocks" and were designed and implemented to be so.

Point missed Brano, why play sp to unlock anything in MP?..anyway I'm not going to beat the dead horse or bring that up again.

Maybe missed the point, but not panzer or stug in my sturmovik with standard 6x100kg FAB bombs.I enjoy it on MP without unlocks.

I think find a "bug" in GUI: ;)

You can unlock some essential mod with few missions (white skin and bombs for ex.).

Fly intercept missions and kill extra targets as said above.

Let's not beat around the bush Veltro, They're unlocks whether they are field mods or not. Hence being called a unlock system.

i just ignore this stuff (how ever you want call it)

the planes are playable without........the actual MP offer is not so overwhelming that i feel a "Need" sitting here and flying SP campaign.

i wait what the next 6 months will bring

I can see why people don't like it, but think of the new players to the game. They'll hit MP with at least some idea of what to do, and I think that's one reason for doing it.

They'd also have the same result without an unlock system. Most games when having a unlock system involves being competitive to other human opponents which fuels there reason for unlocking something in the first place. However if most people are single players for this series this system serves no purpose what so ever.

I'm sure the average gamer who gives it a try won't be to bothered by it but I can't see how this method is going to boost sales. If anything I think it could potentially damage, as there are customers trying to avoid such games.

War Thunder, World of Tanks, Mech Warrior online and many others have something all in common, they're all multiplayer only! Slapping this ridiculous system onto BoS has to be the worst decision.

^Beaten to it.  Anyone who wants to learn the ropes will spend all of their time in QMB/Single Player prior to diving into MP (though the training servers etc. are quite good).  The unlocks will do nothing for them...nor will this system magically attract a new wave of players.

Hear, hear.

If an unlock system was the only way to get newcomers to play MP there never would've been a MP scene to begin with.

I own the game. Since they introduced the unlock this is about the second time I have fired up the game. I looked at the ping to the syndicate server and tried to convince myself I should start to grind the unlocks in SP... I then closed the game. Kudos to the idiot  who thought unlocks was a great idea.

I have found that playing this when you finish each mission helps a lot:

There seems to be some back and forth on Single Player vs Multiplayer and associated unlocks for field modifications.   I put together a quick 3-4 minute instructional video on how to quickly unlock your field modifications for your bombers in Single Player mode so you can minimize your mindless work and get back to some thought provoking multiplayer action!  Enjoy!

FYI

If doing this on expert, you can have full unlocks on your Stuka, HE-111, PE-2, and pretty much anything else thats lets you choose the bombing missions.

Make sure you look for the 'bomb supply depot mission'. Missions change based on what field you choose to base out of, so check them all. If you don't see it, just start a mission then abort it on the map screen to refresh the missions.

Pick the biggest bombs you can and dive bomb or w/e the supply depot. You should get b/t 20-60 buildings in a run which will net you anywhere from 300-700xp. Keep in mind its only 2k XP to completely finish an aircraft, So if you're really spot on, you can unlock a complete in 5-8 missions with each taking roughly 5-10 mins.

Source: Me. I'm a level 10 pilot with 100% germany and almost all of Russian complete, with only about 14 hours of game time in SP (the meat and potatoes spent practicing level bombing for funsies.)

So 95% of us have to suffer this rubbish for the sake of a tiny percentage of new players that 'might' get in to flying games and who knows what proportion of those would even bother with MP, who cares if new blood knows what to do on their first outing? none of us should be forced into this drudgery just to spoon feed a couple of noobs.
