Hi lads,

Im using Requim's profile and for some reason my shift key/pinky isnt being recognized in game....from the looks of it Requim has the Shift modifier button to act as the 'right shift' key ingame?

But for me its not working..it still see the shift modifier button as Joy0-button6 so obvioulsy anything mapped to use with the modifier key s a secondary function is not working

Im launching the game va the profiler>BoS.exe.

Not sure what else I can do, as the button has always worked as a shift key/modifier before.

any ideas?

are you sure your HOTAS have the mode selector on 1? Requiem's profile is set up on the first mode so if you are on mode 2 or 3 it won't work unless you copy the mapping on those mode in the profiler.

Unless they changed things very recently, here's why I think you are having the problem.

If you are trying to map two DirectX button presses (The button assigned as Shift plus one other) into one game action, it will not work in BOS.  Doing this works in ROF, IL2 1946, etc.  I can't speak for Requiem but the fact he has it in a profile is probably because he uses it for other sims as well.

I had this same issue with a CH Pro Throttle.  I got around it by mapping the game's default action keyboard strokes to the buttons vs mapping the throttle's DirectX press to the game.  Using software for the throttle and using this approach has allowed me to have multiple button presses linked to one game action, even more than I had before.  The only thing to be aware of is that there needs to be a delay between keystrokes of 25 milliseconds or so.

It's okay guys, he sorted it out. He didn't have the profiler linked to BoS's IL2.exe. As an aside, this G940 profile work around for the pinky switch only applies to BoS and not other sims because it is linked to the IL2.exe.
