Possible, but depends mainly on the applicable law. Also there's a problem of expected quality from the customer. Have you ever heard in 30 years of a game where you cannot change your in game name ?.

They entered it, so it isn't against any laws. Willingly entering the information means no liability to anyone who didn't make it public forcefully.

 

I'm quite amazed that people entered their real names, or their email addresses, or apparently their personal bank account information based on how some are reacting rather than clicking cancel and looking up what that field should actually have entered in it.

This issue has been resolved so I am locking this. However I will add this. I bought this sim like many others on day one. My user name is 99thh_Bearcat. I went through the prompts. I used my swimming email and my credit card and everything was fine. I have no idea what those who entered the information in the wrong spot saw on their screen but whenever I do anything like this I always triple read before I hit send.
