dburne Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 TF Cliffs IL2 1946 4.12.2 with HSFX7 Mod DCS These are the only sims now I am currently flying.
Jade_Monkey Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Mostly BOS but just started getting into DCS.
CorsairHundo Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 DCS with the P-51. On the fence with BoS and waiting for a few things to change before pulling the trigger.
indiaciki Posted December 8, 2014 Author Posted December 8, 2014 I have a really hard time taking off with the mustang. It's like a b17. Tail down TO. I don' t get it. I can do it. But to me the P 51 is way overhyped as a fighter. The only advatage was long range, a great nickname and beauty. Maybe I'm wrong but the numbers speak... and the luftwaffe's aces who like Galland said that they simply ignored them. The P 47 was less fancy but a much better aircraftt han the mustang.more capable as a figther.

It's like anything, if you have confidence in such airplane you will fly it to its perfection.
indiaciki Posted December 8, 2014 Author Posted December 8, 2014 (edited) hm. seems that US Navy and marine corps aircraft were more successfull than the ones flying in europe. Hellcats or F4Us. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_World_War_II_flying_aces Edited December 8, 2014 by indiaciki
Noe Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 DCS A10, FSX, X-PLANE, Antigas IL-2, AeroflyFS, Rise of Flight...
SvAF/F16_Goblin Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Lacking multiple choices DCS (all modules), CloD, Falcon BMS, FSX, IL-2 1946 (HSFX) and RoF all to varying degree due to time and "the interest atm."
Brimstone Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 I have the original IL-2 with Ace Expansion, Pacific Fighters, all that good stuff. It is awesome! Who cares if it's like nine years old?
indiaciki Posted January 17, 2015 Author Posted January 17, 2015 Flew 300h in x-plane seneca ll. Now I'm back to BOS. Still not really interested in combat. I'll fly MP on wargrounds very soon, though as I did in RoF.
impulse200 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Why there's no Aces High included in vote?
Crump Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 DCS is really keeping me occupied at the moment, waiting for the next sale though before I buy a few more planes. Me too. I got the P-51D and FW-190D9. I was impressed with them.
voncrapenhauser Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) Why there's no Aces High included in vote? That was a sweet game for its time Anyone remember Wings??? Ace of Aces??? Their Finest hour???? Edited January 26, 2015 by voncrapenhauser
impulse200 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 That was a sweet game for its time Anyone remember Wings??? Ace of Aces??? Their Finest hour???? Let's not get this started. Or we'll get championship of old farts. I would like to ask why AH "was"? It is still "is". Also new DX9 graphics engine is in works. I'll reconsider renewing my subscription when it is out in production.
Sokol1 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I fly in Battleground Europe, the "best" ground handling ever, drift here leave Japanese show car drivers envy. And "beautiful" Nintendo'32 graphics.
indiaciki Posted January 30, 2015 Author Posted January 30, 2015 Right now, I fly x-plane only. Despite the inferior flight model. It's a sim. More suited for IFR but VFR still is more than solid with add-ons. I even came to appreciate DCS a lot more than I used to.
BSS_Vidar Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Cliffs of Dover more than any with DCS P-51 getting more of my dedicated time. Abandoned RoF when I discovered terrible critcle angle of attack issues with some flight models. We (the Blacksheep) are trying to get excited with BoS, but it's been a hard road. We REALLY want a new Pacific Theater to get us to commit. V
Beazil Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 World war 2 online. Still very active. Or battleground Europe as Sokol calls it. and of course the il2s dcs modules aplenty clod etc
6./ZG26_Custard Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 BoS the most, CLOD next, IL2 1946, ROF and at the bottom of the pile DSC ( have the 190, 109, A10, Huey, P51 Sabre, combined arms and FC3)The reason? While these is no denying that the flight models are great, the visual distance is poor (for dog fighting) the AI is ridiculous and there is still no WWII theatre.
BMA_FlyingShark Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 We all fly most of the sims. Just choose the one you enjoy most today That'll be RoF than for me.
6./ZG26_Emil Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 I bought (re-bought some of it because the sale wasn't on Steam) virtually everything in the last DCS sale but other than a few hours of FC3 and a quick test of CLOD I've not touched anything else apart from BOS since then.

For all it's little foibles BoS has just hooked me, from a personal point of view I enjoy the experience of flight that you get in this sim than any other in the last few years. CLOD is a very close second but I find it's a bit too easy to land in CLOD. At least BoS is a little bit more of a challenge in that department.
