Some bugs may be solved right now but I will report them anyway. I really believe that we will be flying BoS and its expansions on the next 10 years. Thus supporting this project is the main reason of this report. First of all, fighter plane AI trying to handle pure level bombers aircraft seems to be the main cause of most problems. We need capable AI joining 3 aircraft V formations for future online missions leaded by human pilots. This report will be divided in groups for better comprehension: Miscellaneous: We need specific crew's position keys. Right now we can't switch back from belly gunner to top turret or back direct to pilot's position. This change is very important. Cycling through all positions on the same order is annoying and make us lose precious seconds in combat. Miscellaneous: It would be great for bombers if we were able to switch direct from map view (o) to bombsight view (v) and vice-versa. Right now you need to go back to cockpit view before going to map or bombsight. It is very important when you are flying on expert and using view mode from bomb sight to find your way to target/home. Systems: Lights (Nav & Landing) icons for techno chat for situational awareness to avoid forgetting it on. Mission: I suggest Kallach as main bomber base for single missions because it has a good distance from front line. It would provide room for bombers to get in formation and gain altitude before reaching target area. Right now you need to deviate from waypoints to have enough ground distance to reach a flak "safe" cruise altitude over targets. Mission: Fuel 60% is too much fuel, too much weight for short missions like the ones we have now on mission generator. We are too heavy to climb properly to cruise level with that fuel load. Reduce it to 25 to 35%. Mission: Starting on runway kills mission’s immersion. It may be working in progress yet but it would be great to start engines and taxi to take off. Mission: Please!!! Please turn off wingmen landing lights on take off. No need for that. They should turn it on only on night missions and when they start to roll. Landing lights reduce between 5 to 10 FPS on the ground and produces an unrealistic glare inside plane cockpits making reading instruments very difficult. Just turn it off. Gunners: We need gunners calling out loud and clearly when they spot enemy fighters. Right now the first sign of enemy fighters presence is a MG15 being fired. Gunners: Top turret field of fire is too restrictive. Take a look in the picture: Gunners (Top Turret): We need a fix on gunner crosshair view. When reaching guns to low detent you lose all accuracy in aim capacity because the gun stay stuck there. You need a wide mouse movement to aim up losing precious degrees on your defensive arc of fire. Take a look in the picture: Gunners (Belly Turret): Screen starts violently to shake when you reach guns detent using crosshair view. Wingman: We need a revamp on flight formations. German bombers usually are stacked on small groups of Vs. Right now we only have echeleons and big V formation. Those current formations have no bombs concentration over target and also not enough crossfire from defensive guns. Wingman: We need a loose/close in formation command. Make it close in formation as default. Right now it is too loose. We are sitting ducks. Wingman: The current call outs for enemy’s actions would sound better if they say top/belly turret instead of second or third. It would improve pilot’s situational awareness a lot considering that you have no rear visibility at all. Formation Speed: It seems the game follows a rigid formation speed. This speed value seems to be aerodynamic speed (real speed), not indicated speed. If you are not exactly cruising on this value, wingmen will lag behind or will stay in formation but shaking wings all the time. Bugs: Sometimes gun turrets fail to reload. Gunner is alive but no way you can reload guns. Bugs: Sometimes you don’t get XP for bombing targets like depots . Bug: Wingmen usually do not use internal payload. When they use it, there is a long delay between bombs. External payload launching is ok. Y-29.Silky Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 (edited) 1) The pre-flight report needs to be way more detailed, maybe even showing a picture of the target, from up high (by an observation aircraft).* I've bombed the wrong bridges and failed missions, the "target" bridge was always sitting next to the one I bombed. * Bombing airfields, you get the 5 aircraft lined up in a parking area, but I targeted the wrong parking area. The planes were parked on the far side, I targeted the near side. This is especially hard as you have to set your bomb sights from so far away. The only thing I could do to save my mission, was (that oh shit situation) dive bomb with an He-111. 2) Static clouds over the target area, they don't seem to be affected by the wind. If it's overcast, bombing missions would be cancelled, otherwise, these smaller clouds should be moving with the wind and will still give us a chance to see the target. They may move already, but I sure has hell haven't noticed it. (He-111 dive bomber). Edited October 22, 2014 by Silky

What I noted flying the Pe-2 was that yes, bomb artillery sites from 6km and an airfield from 3km..Wouldn't it be like the other way round? Bombing itself ain't that hard, but the too short draw distance before the planes even appear on the tarmac is bugging me a lot. Yes, you can see the plane shelters and stuff, but the planes appear only very close to your view. And usually at that point it can be too late to make corrections. And as stated above, target in question shown in briefing! They did recon their targets! For example Finns knew when VVS was about to bomb Kotka harbour because of the recon plane, usually a lone Pe-2, came in for weather check and target recon the morning at 6-8km. Another feature would be BDA(Battle Damage Assesment) done after you strike the target. So if you hit an airfield, a recon plane could "photo" it and damage examined. So this could affect if you need to drop more freebie bombs on it or can move on to another target. Immersion!
