Difficulty Settings

You can set the difficulty settings playing Quick Missions or Missions or if you are hosting a game.  But as of now you can’t in Campaign or playing online on a server you are not hosting.

Three Difficulty Levels:  Normal N, Expert E, Custom C

Custom you can use to make an EASY difficulty.  You can also use it to make a setting far more difficult than EXPECT but not at the full difficulty of EXPERT.  An example is EXPERT at all levels but having a ‘Warmed up engine’.

Below are the options.  There Gameplay, Simplifications, Piloting assistance.

In EXPERT none of the options are selected.

In Normal those option boxes with a green are selected.

In Custom it all depends on you if you are playing off line.  If playing on line it depends on the hosting server.  Many of those not from the developers are CUSTOM set to have full EXPERT except for ‘Warmed up engine’.

Below I have all the ‘Normal’s checked with a ‘x’

*under SETTINGS where you can bind the keys you can choose to do auto mixture, auto prop pitch, and some other things.  Many of the German planes have the ‘auto’ by default as the real thing did.  Most if not all the Russian planes had no option for to automate anything.
