New Poll: Which LW plane do you want in BoS?

Depends wich ufo you talking about - i actualy liked Heinkel Lerche, Go-229, Bf-109Z, Ta-183, and the big Me232 (well no ufo)

The Lerche existed only on paper, and the Go-229 was a prototype in the very early stages of testing, so yes those I view as UFOs.

They where a waste of time in making as next to no one ever saw them after the first few weeks after release of IL2 - 1946 let alone online.

Instead many other aircraft that really played a role never  made it into the game, and who knows if we will ever see them in a sim like BoS?

Just need to think of a He 177 or a Ju 290. But I know pretty well all my WWII aircraft favorites are non main stream, so I am already

reconning that I will never see next to any of the aircraft I really like and would enjoy to fly.

What is everyone voting for the Fw 190 proposing to use it for? Any offline career is likely to be a duckshoot, and I can't imagine multiplayer servers filling up with people wanting to fly a Yak 9 against it. Leave it for the sequels....

I seem to remember doing fairly good job vs FW-190A in Yak-9... versus die hard IL-2 veteran that flied those crates to the edge.

We had this 1 vs 1 server going on for some time...

Served to check out plane combat performances etc.

 

And yeah, Yak-9 is (arguably) very competitive to a FW.

 

Said arguably because it really isn't in exactly all situations, but it can hold its ground in most situations that's for sure.

I dont even know if this plane would fit historically with the lend lease program but I would like to see the P-38 Lightning. Imo sexiest plane of WW2

Macchi or Fiat would be a real treat. I would even vote for the SM.79 Sparviero as it is my favorite "wacky design" WW2 plane, love those tri-motor planes.

I voted for the Yak 9, it's a supurb aircraft ! I'd take it (and have in Il2) against a 190. I would preffer a Yak 3 tho.

Well, if we had a vote of what NOT to have, I'd vote against having the Fw 190 and the La 5.

 

They were just not there but it's obvious why they were included..........

Well since votes can be edited, yes, remove the aircraft that are going to be for certain in the sim, but maybe add some missing aircraft?

I'd love to see the Do-24 when we get to the Mediterranean. I've never seen it in a sim before and it was a great flying boat rescue aeroplane. It would be cool if rescues could be incorperated into missions somehow  With the modern turboprops it's quite the bomb. The old radials would never perform like that but still....
