Apparently you are calling me stupid I object! I've installed many applications where a colloquial name is requested at the installation point for usage only during the installation process. This appeared to be the same. I also presumed that if the name was for a wider purpose then there would be an ingame option to change it like most other games I've ever used. Please don't try and pass of this very dubious bit of design and coding as a user error, that would be extremely unfair and unwelcome. I'm a professional software developer (senior for a huge company) and my team wouldn't leave a basic error like this uncorrected. 1

The problem is that the question wasn't clearly formulated and after just putting in my address and billing info in paypal to buy the game I guess I simply continued to believe they needed to check my real name with my payment or this was like in ROF career mode where you can create several pilots with different names at your leisure. Anyway this isn't a mmo so why would our usernames not be changeable? Why couldn't they put in a name check that would tell me Alexander was already in use? Why did it put a number at the end and think I was happy? Are you saying this is good game design and it's the users fault? Looking at the amount of players in multiplayer servers having a number after a common name like Michael8 means there has been 7 other Michael's before him who did the same mistake and put in the name Michael. I was the third Alexander but I've seen a guy called Alexander9 online as well so it's definitely a common issue. Anyway I couldn't care for any privacy stuff regarding this, I just want my squad mates to see when I log in and are playing. This issue separates me from the online community and makes the game is less enjoyable. I'm actually seriously thinking about buying another premium copy tonight but I'm unsure if I will miss any founders rewards then. 1

Every time I try to change the to red-friendlies/Blue-Enemies in the game options it reverts back to blue friendlies/red enemies. Can this be fixed please. Simple for a start as you (the intended newcomer, not a one year early-access player) get used to the controls and orient yourself on the map, then it builds and builds. I think it is a really good idea - like a tutorial that you hardly even notice. 1

However I've tried 3 times to play today with my limited time, all have ended with the game basically paused, sound looping, however things like gunfire hit affects on the ground keep looping, i can turn the hud on and off and access the options menu. But the game just hangs, I have to kill it in the process tree. Have not had any issues and I mean no issues before this patch. To me it seems as though cannon fire is setting this crash off, seems as though hit animation or something is doing it. So basically game is unplayable now. Edited October 21, 2014 by Tyberan

No freezes/crashes/etc. But it is definitely not more immersive than MP given a properly designed MP mission. It's very static, contacts always at the action waypoint.
