First mission after the patch and another CTD after choosing Finish. This is ruining the experience!

To be honest... if by getting a higher 'pilot level' it means the missions have more content and are harder to achieve. (I'm still not sure what these pilot levels actually mean)... (and I never thought I'd see 'levelling up' in a legendary WWII flight sim) but if it does mean things get harder to achieve, then that is better than making the earlier missions so easy to achieve... if that makes sense?

Today in update (you can update now):

 

1. Mission loading screen was changed;

2. Incorrect combat and emergency engine modes messages were fixed;

3. Truncated names in radiomessages were fixed.

Nice loading screens now, IL-2 BOS artwork! The new smoke from cities is a good improvement. Thanks!

As a Non-SP player, will we ever get Unlocks for MP, I really, raelly don't want to play 20+ hours in SP which I don't enjoy at all. I don't mind the unlocks themselves, but I would love to do them in MP, maybe on the Syndicate Server, some 1C approved Servers with complex missions etc.

Plus, two of three Ju87 I was supposed to escort entered into collision 10s after the begining of the mission (short/expert).

Missions 3 and 4 didn't end with a defect. That was after I restarted my machine so perhaps that cured it ... I can only hope.

I would contact support but I can't really offer any diagnosis evidence other than I clicked Finish and it fell over. Not much help unfortunately.

The new load screens are really works of art!  Nice.

Stable for me. No lock up or crashes.

My wish is to see no help tools online in expert mode.

-no GPS Circles around the airfields keep tacking enemy planes that are death taps in my opinion

-no target makers on the map that auto mark ground targets around my airplane

-real navigation: no aircraft position on the map, instate a navigation map inside the cockpit that allows "landmark navigation" during the flight

 

I understand that other players like help maker but these should be only activated in the normal mode to have no disadvantage in expert mode.

If this is not the case I think many "real sim pilots" will turn away from the game, especially many old IL2 players that expect that from the name IL2.

Our support is very pedantic, so he will collect all necessary details. It's hard issue because only some people have it and even them have it randomly.

So talks with support may give us extra ideas.

i m running triple screen setup, but it doesnt work so far ... i hope it will! Even FSX can run a 5860x1080x32 resolution

Friendy bombers in my flight no longer drop the bomb load at the same time with me, but just before landing.

Is that correct? could run the  risk of killing friendly  people on the ground. LOL

Nice load screens. Flew few intercept and ground attack missions in FW-190 and I think Focke pilots have gotten smarter. They now got off ground with no trouble.

 

Just finished campaign, I had no ctd or other hiccups after last few updates. Last cutscene did not show automatically, dont know if it was suppose to.

There's several of them that appear at random. They are full screen action shots of aircraft and really well done. The load progress appears as a thin red line at the foot of the page.

What I experienced during the whole early access is that if a CTD happens, it happens just after a new update and later on no CTDs appeared for that update. Playing almost daily. May be others have this same experience.

IL2 BOS is, already, the best ww2 flight simulator available, and it is not yet available :-) so, just imagine when it really get's RELEASED anytime soon!

Congratulations and a BIG THANK YOU to the whole 1C and 777 teams. This was the best flight simulator I have used so far, (with an exception for Aerowinx PS1 and now PSX... but that's another story...), in terms of feeling the aircraft as if I were there.

 

Rise of Flight will probably occupy this place ex-aequo, and I have bought it because of IL2 BOS. 

 

Illya Muromets will probably follow ...

 

Ah!, Today, after the last update, I flew  very rewarding small online flight at the MIX server. No problems, no stutters, all OK, at least around here.

I've had about 3 CTDs total so far (not flown a mission with this latest update yet).  I always try to reproduce them but never can. 

 

It shows me at 18 hours in the campaign, but surely I have 100 hours in game.  Perhaps one hour in MP, but it never crashed there.  All CDTs I've had happened during the campaign. 

 

Thanks for the continued updates!  Can't wait to see what's next.

Love the new loading screens, but at 1440p, it's a pixelfest. Maybe some higher quality images that somehow don't slow down the loading would be nice. The AA on that loadscreen He111 is pretty bad.

 

Also I would like to suggest that on the Payload variant menu on the Plane setup part, the payloads are explaned briefly:

I'm assuming that the orange bullets are HE and the blue ones AP but it's not that obvious and it would be nice to have it indicated

ive just up dated around 92 mb up date now game wont start,kick in to the start then kicks straght out again, eneyone eles haveing this problem ?   ps the game comeing along fine and the patchs apart from  this one ,show your working and are on the job

 

 could we have once the campain done, and finshed can  lockon can be used, ?as id like to play the campain with lock on, apart from that all good ~s

Hmmm, my FPS have dropped sat on the ground in the cockpit, solid 60 to low 50's low 40's looking at instruments now, this is since the last update today. Cockpits look a bit sharper?

Just noticed that I have some of the G2 unlocks greyed out in campaign (armored glass headrest and 250kg bomb) but that in quick mission they are still available. I have unlocked them, there is no picture of lock there anymore, but they just show as grey and can't be selected.
