Voices of Babylon

I was on my way to the store and heard "Voice of Babylon" and flashed to the music video.  I have always wondered what that erratic gas gauge is.  Something British based on the spelling of "centre" that holds 287-ish gallons of gas in the centre and long range tanks.  It doesn't seem to be a Hurricane or Spit -- maybe a Defiant?
