I./JG68_Sperber Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Hello pilots, i test a little bit today for the Triple Screen Problem 5760 x 1080 ! Make your resolution over AMD Catalyst Control Center (Version 14.9) to 5760 x 1080 ! Than go to AMD Catalyst Control Center "Customize eyefinity Desktop resolution" Than "custom Resolution" to 3840 x 1024 ! You see no change on your 5760x1080 resolution ! Than Start the Launcher go to settings "No Fullscreen mode" ! In the Pull down menue Screen resolution you see now the 3840 x 1024 ! And Start the Game ! I think, it is for now a good solution and and with 4 x AA ... I hope the 5760 x 1080 its going in the near future... See picture ! 1
Dte_Reprobator Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Better than nothing, i'll try it but still wait for a solid definitive fix maybe a post on wsgf forum (they have posted fix by using mem hack on different game) may help too
Gustaf Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 TO: Sperber This is the best tip on the 3xscreen issue with BOS yet (11/1/2014). I works just as you said. Gunsight is dead center, pixel density is virtually unchanged AND... it has it's advantages: (1) easier on the gpu (2) Most of the left-right end distortion is gone and (3) you still have enough real estate left over for simultaneous viewing handy stuff like: MSI Afterburner, checklists, cockpit tutorials...etc. I may stay with this mode even if the triple screen issue is fixed. Than you very, very much. Gustaf
I./JG68_Sperber Posted November 2, 2014 Author Posted November 2, 2014 (edited) THX gustaf I see this 1024 pix by random gg With the new AMD drivers is it now possible... on the right and left side i do a picture from the Map Edited November 2, 2014 by I./JG68_Sperber
-NW-ChiefRedCloud Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Gustaf am I counting properly? 5 monitors? I'm impressed and jealous ...... thanks Chief
SvAF/F19_CoNa Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Not a solution that works for Nvidia users unfortunately. Gustaf am I counting properly? 5 monitors? I'm impressed and jealous ...... thanks Chief Nope that is 3 monitors, just that he does not get to use the full screen resolution. Still, it's better than single screen
Snacko Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 (edited) Yea, nVidia doesn't have a Control Center option like that. It does have an 'Adjust Desktop size and position' option that is different than the Display Resolution. But that page says it does not work with Surround monitors. So, I did just try setting my desktop to 3840x720 and run the game at the same res in full screen to fill the monitors. It of course stretched the game screen and it looked all blurry. Running the monitors at Native Res is necessary to make this work. Edited November 14, 2014 by Snacko
Sephyrius Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 (edited) C:\Program Files (x86)\1C Game Studios\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data Open up startup.cfg (Make a backup first if you want to be extra careful). Replace with the following : fullscreen = 0 win_height = 1080 win_width = 4000 Works with a nVidia GPU, 90% sure that it works on AMD as well. Enjoy. Though it's still sad that after such a long while we still have to resort to this while the devs only give one excuse after another without any real sign that they're actually working on it. Will start using this now, running a 3840x720 gave better performance since it can be fullscreen'd, but it's such a terrible blurfest even with 4x AA that it's unbearable. I./JG68_Sperber Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 @Sephyrius @very cool we are larger piece by piece...
Snacko Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 (edited) ..Edit.. I see, I need to actually set the width to 4000 even though my normal desktop is 5760. I got it to work with the desktop showing on both sides. It is a little wider. Thx.. Edited November 14, 2014 by Snacko
victorhs258 Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 I am just glad they finally got that "multi GPU" button up
