IIN8II Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 This video is a bit of a departure from my normal stuff. I have been testing out some different shots for my next BoS film and decided to throw this together. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzVrfi0iIdI&feature=youtu.be 5
Jason_Williams Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Cool video N8. I was filming something last night and I got an interesting angle from underneath a Lagg as I flamed a 109 and it looked cool. Something about different angles that makes things interesting. Jason 1

Jason Thank you Jason! Fixing the camera to a point makes for some interesting shots inside and out of the cockpit. IIN8II
RedGuard Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Very sweet, as always ! I had no idea these were already around back then. Red
IIN8II Posted October 17, 2014 Author Posted October 17, 2014 Lol, just had to mount a few of these on the planes. They cause a bit of drag though.... 2
andyw248 Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Wow, it's amazing what a different perspective can do... I feel inspired
Requiem Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Nice N8. It's easier than you think it would be to shoot like that isn't it? Tried it once in MP when I had an oil covered windscreen and got someone. It would be nice if there was a button press that would fix the camera point when looking at an external view, then you could attach a camera to any point on the aircraft and it would remain stationary instead of using the mouse to try and keep it there.
LLv34_Flanker Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 S! What "Glowing Amraam" does in DCS, IIN8II does in BoS.

Indeed it is, I also had a kill similar kill in MP. It would be great to eventually be able to fix the camera to a point in the replay.
IIN8II Posted October 18, 2014 Author Posted October 18, 2014 Thank you again everyone! I hope to finish the next feature soon.
-NW-ChiefRedCloud Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Very nice .... I'd like to hear more of HOW you set up your cameras for this ..... if it doesn't give away any trade secrets ..... Chief

Chief No secrets here lol. It was all filmed live as you cannot currently achieve the same shots within the replay system. For the exterior shots I fly with my head out of the canopy and once I find the right angle I pause my trackir to lock the view in place. For the interior shots it was the same technique.
