taffy2jeffmorgan Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Hi All. not sure if this has been asked before, but is there a key control so that the cockpit side windows in both Me 109's can slide open and shut, I cant find nothing that relates. Cheers. JM.
Finkeren Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 No, this is not (yet) a feature. Btw: Only the side window in the F4 could be opened. The G2 canopy was originally designed for pressurization and was sealed tight. 2

With the exception of the odd-numbered models (G1, G3, and G5 equipped with pressurized cockpit kit), and the equipped with canopy ERLA type. Picture Bf-109G4 (standart Gustav canopy with the armored headrest removed) of http://www.flugmuseum-messerschmitt.de/ All-around-visibility "Erla" canopy instaled in Bf-109 G6 to K, without sliding windows Edited October 14, 2014 by III/JG52_Otto_Mas
Pierre64 Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 On the Friedrich, the upper window could be opened too. No more on Gustav.
